Nice, small reataurant near the ancient Greek theater offering foccacia sandwiches and similar local foods, along with sodas and beers. Very friendly attentive staff, who also speak English, so ordering and payment was no trouble for me. There is no view from the dining area, but it is open to the sun. My only critique would be that my Foccacia Calabrese didn't have as much of the spicy salami as I expected.

Very nice service, amazing croissants, good coffee. Great as a break from walking around Taormina and a reward after climbing the stairs.

Mediterraneo Cafe'

21/10/2025: We visited this little wine bar twice as we liked it. The first time we had the delicious Etna wine with a cheese & olive board. The second time we had afternoon cocktails. It's a quiet little bar on a busy walkway. The staff were friendly and service was good.
15/10/2025: This place is spectacular. I’m a noted critic and have taken a lot of pleasure reading the reviews and the cheeky responses from the owner on Google about this place. Honestly, I think someone has a personal vendetta against this place because it is truly delightful. Super cute, great service, tasty light bites. All the whining about prices is so confusing because the prices are consistent with everything in the neighborhood. Give this place a shot. It rocks.
