Breathtaking view of the Monferrato hills, if the weather permits two enchanting terraces where you can enjoy excellent food and equally excellent dishes. It would be an understatement to recommend just one dish as each course is a pleasant discovery for the eyes and above all for the palate. Also recommended to celebrate a special event or occasion. Excellent quality/price.

The Antico Monastero in Lu Monferrato offers an experience that goes beyond a simple dinner, even for lunch: as soon as you enter, you are transported to another era, thanks to an extremely characteristic and particular location. The historic atmosphere is made even more fascinating by the attention of the service, which stands out for the care with which the wine best suited to the diner's tastes is chosen. Each meal is accompanied by a pleasant disquisition on local wines, with careful analysis and valid, expert advice that enriches the food and wine experience. Unfortunately, despite the initial enthusiasm for the tasting menu, I was disappointed to discover that this option is limited to all diners at the table. This requirement can create a certain embarrassment and force you to convince the entire group to join, an aspect that I consider a risky choice on the part of the management and a limit for the customer. However, the dishes served live up to expectations. The linguine with black truffle and hazelnut, as well as the monastery agnolotti in meat, are delicacies prepared with excellent raw materials. The attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients make each course a real pleasure for the palate. A further advantage is the presence of convenient parking, which facilitates arrival and makes the whole experience even more pleasant. Despite some limitations, L'Antico Monastero still manages to offer a high-level culinary experience, immersed in a unique atmosphere, even for a special lunch.

Siamo stati a pranzo in questo ristorante per caso e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Il servizio accogliente ed impeccabile, i piatti tutti buonissimi, oltre a quello che abbiamo ordinato ci hanno offerto una deliziosa entree ed un pre dessert altrettanto buono. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati. Ci torneremo volentieri!!
