Chanced upon this nice little restaurant, actually there's many seats inside. It's November and the temperature is 6 degrees Celsius so we sate inside. We ordered 3 pastas 1- Umbrichelle Amatricina 13€ 2- Ginocchi 4 Formaggi 13€ 3 Pappardelle Al Raggi ( recommended) 13€ Lamb Chop 18€ 5- 1 local red wine 4€ 6- Mineral water 2€ 7- Coke Zero 4€ 8- 3 pax at 2€ each Very nice cozy Resturant Friendly staff, looks like family owned Food was great. Restroom is clean too

A truly wonderful surprise! We stopped for lunch at this lovely restaurant in the historic center of Orvieto. Their menu features several types of fresh pasta; I recommend the amatriciana and carbonara! For the main courses, the rabbit and ossobuco were excellent! We'll definitely be back!

We shared an antipasto of bruschetta con guanciale that Wes very flavorful. My wife had the soup of the day - chestnut and mushroom that was very delicious. I went with the regional plate of pappardelle di ragù bianco di cinghiale (wild boar). I enjoyed that very well. We shared a gelato dolce. All in it was €51. A very pleasant evening!

Sunday lunch. We happened upon this restaurant and ordered three dishes: Antipasto misto di bruschetta e affettati Umbrichelle all'Amatriciana Tagliatelle ai Funghi Porcini The porcini pasta lacked mushroom flavor and was undercooked, which was disappointing, but the amatchiana was delicious. This restaurant exuded a local atmosphere!

Very kind staff! Dishes... without any particular peaks of satisfaction. The mixed antipasto was a bit bland, sparse (two olives, Totò-style) and dry (but the fennel salami was good). First course: tagliatelle with truffles...thirty euros...meh. Second course: wild boar stew...authentic flavor, but a small bowl. Well...aside from the very kind staff, the restaurant wasn't exactly convincing, in my opinion.

Su consiglio di un amico abbiamo cenato in questo bellissimo locale In centro, vicinissimo al nostro alloggio, ci hanno fatto accomodare nei tavoli esterni, nella piazzetta davanti al locale, comunque dentro molti posti e ben arredato Abbiamo gustato un’ottima cena e il personale molto cortese Super consigliato

Blue Bar

21/10/2025: We were in Orvieto around 3 weeks ago. There is a laundromat across from the Blue Bar. We started our laundry and headed over to get a drink while we waited on our laundry. Best decision ever! Anthony was wonderful and fun to be around. He also introduced us to several people who were there (some ex-pats, some locals, some tourists). We had a fabulous time chatting with folks, listening to music, and great drinks! We may have all been strangers but we quickly felt like friends. I can't wait to go back to Orvieto and visit Anthony at The Blue Bar!
15/10/2025: When I think of Orvieto, I don’t just think of truffle pasta or a glass of refreshing Orvieto Classico — I think of The Blue Bar, where we became instant locals and friends with people from all over at Anthony’s place. I think of laughing with strangers, walking down alleys lined with architecture worthy of a coffee table book. Orvieto — I hadn’t even heard your name a year ago, and now you wander through my mind (and my dreams) often. Cin cin. 🇮🇹💙🍷

Le Grotte del Funaro

08/01/2026: Spectacular and evocative location, quiet and refined atmosphere. We ate excellent crostini for appetizers, a delicious Florentine steak, and drank excellent wine. Recommended!
