We arrived at the restaurant late and with an unusual request: to only have dessert (and wine, of course), since my sister is allergic to seafood - the house specialty - and we were extremely well received and accepted. The place is beautiful, the staff super friendly and the chef presented us with a perfectly balanced dessert. By the way, what is his name? When I'm without her, I'll definitely come back to try the main dishes! 🌷🍀

Amazing in both food and atmosphere over many many years, one of the few restaurants that just never seems to disappoint. It is refined but in a Trattoria way, without going too fancy or overboard in any way. The specials are always wonderful, do get them when you are here.
Pasta Cassopipa was wonderful with a rich taste and aroma of a multitude of local mollusks in a slightly warm (spicy) sauce.
Homemade pasta with local spider crab was a more delicate affair with all the elegance of the crab and none of the liver taste that sometimes can be overwhelming.
Paccheri with prawns and artichokes also full of elegance, tastes of both sea and earth beautifully combined.
The squid is cooked for a long time in a mix of its ink and fish stock and is gentle, concentrated, without the saltiness of the ink dominating the dish. The very neutral white corn polenta is perfect to balance out the taste for a perfect bite.
A good wine list, nice deserts, you won’t ever be disappointed. I myself come for the pasta and squid, they are amazing year after year.

Le restaurant est globalement très bon mon ami qui n’es pas fan de poisson a trouvé ça très bon
En revanche pour ma part un peu déçu, nos avis son mitigé et je trouve la note excessive pour ce que nous avons consommé
Exemple : j’ai eu le droit à un poisson du jour oui bien cuit mais non pas de qualité ( style juste filet et non pas poisson entier ) mais les sauce et goût autour était extrêmement bien maîtrisé
Pour mon ami calamar poulpe et crevette frit très bonne assiette et bien présentée avec le goût du luxe
Et le dessert la ! Un régale !

Superb traditional Venetian restaurant. The dishes we had were superbly executed. There is imagination at work here as well as tradition. The amuse bouche of sarde in saor were delightful and the seafood platter was simply perfect. Good choice of local wine with pleasant and helpful servers. Way ahead of most Venetian restaurants.

Oggi passeggiata con mio figlio nel cuore della Serenissima complice una bella giornata di sole. Coronamento: pranzo delizioso alle Antiche Carampane. Il menu è rassicurante, tipico di chi non ha bisogno di colpire il cliente con effetti speciali. Al palato la consueta piacevole armonia di ingredienti e gusti che non stonano mai tra di loro. Direzione e servizio piacevole e gentile. Se a tutto ciò aggiungi anche la materia prima e tiri una riga, il prezzo è più che in linea. Che bello.

One of the best meals I have had in Italy. I’ve been coming to Italy for many years and this was such a satisfying experience. Don’t expect over the top flavours and overly saucy dishes - expect traditional Venetian cuisine done to the highest standard by a passionate and dedicated team / family. 10/10 meal will definitely be coming back.

Overrated. The food is good but the choice is rather limited and the prices are high. Reservations required and several days in advance: difficult to find a place. Good service but cramped and noisy place.
