A great place to have a cocktail in Volterra. The waiter is very friendly and brings a basket of bread and spreads with your drinks.

You'll be very happy with your choice. Wonderful food and wines, an amazing little cafe with plenty of atmosphere and a great story. The owners are friendly, knowledgeable and great hosts.

We only intended to stop for a quick cappuccino, but the friendly owner and the superb ambiance quickly made it clear that this bar is one of Volterra's absolute highlights. The food was delicious. The real highlight, however, is the signature cocktails, crafted with boundless dedication into works of art. Serving them becomes an experience for the whole table. The owner's deep passion for his craft is immediately apparent. Even those who just want a coffee will find themselves right at home, able to watch others being served cocktails and have the owner explain what makes a great one.

I've spent two weeks across Tuscany and, as odd as it sounds, this might be the most amazing place I visited. We stumbled upon it while looking for a cup coffee and it was such a great cup of coffee we decided to come back for a couple of cocktails. This man is an artist. There is no other way to describe it. He picked up on my remark to add a little less sugar to the cocktail and modified it using different types of gin to bring out what I asked for and suppress what I didn't like, while staying true to the ratios called for. The level of dedication is something otherwordly, turning a couple of drinks into an experience you will talk to your friends about. I am no longer able to order a cocktail and not think of Antica Velathri Cafe and how they'd make it better.

A small bar/café tucked away from the tourist crowds. Very friendly service and excellent coffee/cappuccino.

Place to have a cocktail at a reasonable price and very good. They serve a tapa with a kind of olive mousse and another with cheese with the drink.
