Antica Trattoria Tritone In Roma

Probably the third time visiting this restaurant. The food is good the service informal but friendly, the atmosphere is noisy. What I like here is that you can walk in and easily find a table and have a variety of Roman dishes without special formalities. The prices are decent and the portions too.

This restaurant offers traditional Roman cuisine. The portions are generous, the food is tasty and well-seasoned, and the wait time is reasonable. Our waitress was punctual and efficient. The restaurant consists of several spacious rooms, each decorated with phrases in Roman dialect. Service is free, and prices are reasonable compared to the current average. For two, we spent €38 after eating an appetizer and a first course each, a dessert for two, and a half-liter of wine.

If you want to eat at a restaurant in Rome that's worth the trip, I recommend this place. You're served by very professional Italians, the food is wonderful and generously portioned, and the beer selection is unique. The value for money is a 10. I'll definitely be back.

As a Roman, I've known and frequented this place for years... but I have to say it's becoming a bit too touristy and less attentive to service/quality. This evening, it was a Wednesday in August, so I couldn't get my beer after a 15-minute wait with no more foam (so it was left on the counter waiting to be delivered to my table?). Also, the red wine system might need rethinking; the taste was a bit rusty. The amatriciana, well, not bad, but the pasta needed a couple more minutes of cooking (and being Roman, I eat it strictly al dente, mind you). The service was a bit sketchy, but overall okay. As a Roman, in a place with the history of this city, I'd be happy to have local staff. It's not racism, it's tradition... but we're losing it. One last thing: no goulash on the menu, please... all that's missing is sushi, and we're off to a good start!

Very good restaurant located on a street that is not too crowded. There is air conditioning. Very good service and welcome. 2 large dining rooms. I recommend it.

No clue what these bad reviews are all about. Came here with my fiancé, parents, sister & BIL and we had the best experience. The ambiance is stunning. The waiter recommended an antipasto and a chefs pasta sampler for appetizers. At first we were a little concerned that he was taking us tourists for a ride, and perhaps it became a bit of an over order, but we had no regrets. The antipasto portion was HUGE, but the pasta sampler stole the show. Best carbonara ive ever had. The waiter treated us after dinner to dessert, limoncello, and a Grand Marnier. Not to mention a little souvenir for us to take home. The price was very reasonable for the portions. Would absolutely go back!
