The portions were ridiculous for a trattoria, especially considering they served them on a single plate for both single and double portions. In reality, it doesn't matter if you're being clever with the portion sizes, which I find unacceptable. The pork cheek was very salty, and the baked potatoes weren't fresh and were lukewarm. Paying €4 for a potato was an insult. The atmosphere was dated and poorly designed, and considering there weren't many people, I can't imagine how they'd behave when the place was full (if it ever was).

A rustic trattoria with a typical Emilian rural atmosphere, perhaps a little more attention to detail. The menu features traditional Emilian dishes. We ordered a bottle of Lambrusco and water for drinks, along with excellent cured meats and erbazzone for appetizers, a trio of first courses (potato tortelli with sautéed lard, pumpkin tortelli, very good, and tagliatelle alla boscaiola, which I wouldn't eat again), followed by desserts and grappa. The bill was a reasonable €35.
There's room for improvement, but the food is good.

Over the course of an hour and a half of dinner, the phrase "How come we've never been here before" (followed by a curse) must have been uttered about fifteen times. Luckily, time seems to have stood still in this place, including the prices. It seems almost no one informed them of the changeover from the lira to the euro. "Don't tell Prodi," some might say.

A place I had high expectations for, and I confess, I was quite disappointed. Renowned for its home-style cooking, which is true—tortelli and tagliatelle made by hand—but the seasoning is also important, and in a trio of first courses, the sauce was so lacking that the dishes were barely adequate, the tagliatelle with mushrooms tasteless. On the other hand, the second courses were overly flavorful, so much so that I couldn't finish the dish due to the high salt content, in this case, on the guancialino. The location is a trattoria-style affair, but the prices are not, tending towards the medium-high end.
