Living in the area we were always curious to try this little place
We had a really good time
Really very friendly staff
The aubergine ravioli with sea bass ragout was amazing
The mussels which were off the menu were really good and of good quality
The cake with a warm chocolate heart with cream and vanilla ice cream was the conclusion of a delicious dinner
I'll be back for sure!

Piccola trattoria di mare ove poter gustare le più autentiche tipicità culinarie marine di stagione. Squisiti sia il baccalà che il dentice mantecati. Deliziose le sarde e mazzancolle in saor. Gustose le cozze al vapore. Deliziose le capesante gratinate. Eccellenti anche l'orata e il branzino alla griglia.

Lunch beyond expectations.
Excellent, very fresh cold and hot starters.
Equally appetizing first courses.
Not having tasted the second courses we will have to return with great pleasure.

We went for lunch today, nothing to say except that we were more than happy. Restaurant in the center of Trieste just 7 minutes walk from Piazza Unità D'Italia, excellent service with attentive, kind and very knowledgeable staff, all fish food and excellent quality. Average high price but more than fair. Definitely to return.

Antica Trattoria Le Barettine is a restaurant where every detail is taken care of with great attention, and the fish found is simply stellar.
The environment is welcoming, elegant but without excess, and eating here is always a real pleasure, with refined dishes and authentic flavours.
From 1st to 30th April it hosts the Le vie delle Foto exhibition, which can be visited during opening hours. A perfect opportunity to combine the art of taste with that of looking, in a complete and satisfying experience.

Passato per puro caso, dando sempre comunque un occhio alla qualità delle recensioni, siamo stati fatti accomodare vicino alla stube.
Cucina e servizio impeccabili, ordinati in due un antipasto misto cotto, Gnocchi con sugo di granseola, Taglierini con sugo al agli scampi, Frittura mista di pesce, Strudel e un favoloso Bresnit (se così si scrive).
Tutto squisito e tutto ben accompagnato da un Friulano di Toros.
Liquore di Terrano e caffè offerti dalla casa.
Se mai ricapiterò a Trieste, ci tornerò sicuramente.
