Discovering in a corner of Trieste the time stopped by the welcome of the past and the welcome of a corner of home was truly a nice surprise.
Simple and retro, few dishes, but all of a very high quality. Mixed fruit with real fish (even mullet and flounder). Natural spider crab with a thousand seafood flavours. Prices appropriate to the quality of the raw material.

Iniziamo dalle note positive. Locale carino, servizio cortese ed attento. Ottima scelta dei vini. Le note dolenti cominciano col cibo che, a mio giudizio, non era affatto curato. L'antipasto di crudi di pesce era scadente, gli scampi crudi erano accettabili mentre le canocchie avevano forte gusto di ammoniaca, il carpaccio di pesce era del tutto anonimo. Ho poi preso le bavette con gli scampi, capisco che gli scampi debbano essere interi per dare più gusto, ma sarebbe bene almeno incidere il carapace in modo da facilitarne l'estrazione. In generale il piatto era slegato, delle semplicissime bavette al pomodoro con sopra degli scampi non curati.
Il conto è stato onesto.
