A beautiful family owned restaurant nestled in the charming village. We had the house red (fantasticc!) and pasta. Pici with tomato sauce, tagliatelle with Tuscan ragu and the pasta with the duck sauce were all incredible. We’ll be coming back again for another meal hopefully many more

A gem in the historic center of town. When you enter, you feel right at home. The decor perfectly matches the local style. The atmosphere is warm and the staff are extremely friendly. There were four of us for lunch. We shared two Tuscan appetizers, and then each had a main course with a side dish. Everything was simple and delicious. For my main course, I opted for the wild boar stew, which was truly exquisite and, above all, incredibly tender. For wine, I chose a local Chianti Classico. You have to be careful with the wine list, as not all the wines on the list were actually available, and some of those were from different vintages than those listed. However, I still give the service 5 stars because the waiter handled the situation admirably. Excellent value for money. I recommend it and hope to return soon.

A pleasant discovery in the heart of the village. Really delicious handmade pasta, accompanied by attentive and super friendly service. You can also bring your pet: Barolo, my 25 kg dog, was treated like a king!

A wonderful, accidental discovery. While looking for a restaurant for dinner, we found this trattoria, which turned out to be a place we'll definitely return to. We had appetizers, a first course, and a second course. Everything was delicious, but I'm particularly interested in the meat, which I'd rate a 10: incredibly tender and flavorful. I complimented the owner because the food here is divine.

Antica Trattoria La Toppa is located in the small but charming village of San Donato in Poggio. Seen from above, the village resembles an eye, and the trattoria sits at the center of the iris. It's family-run, and the practices are time-honored and tried and tested. We were here on a Tuesday at the end of the year; the village is quiet, some shops are open, some are closed, but the trattoria is well-attended. The atmosphere inside is pleasant, the acoustics excellent, it's a comfortable place to chat, and the beige and red walls are a perfect backdrop for lunch. And then there's the food, which is the most important thing, you might say. The menu is Tuscan cuisine, the aromas fill the room, and there are specials of the day, which I always love. The food is truly excellent, with original flavors, and every dish is a sigh and a joy. Well done, that's how it's done! All dishes returned to the kitchen are carefully swept away with a piece of bread and a shoemaker's shoe. Highly recommended!

Excellent food, the meat was so tender and flavorful you could almost cut it without a knife. The customer service was friendly and attentive, the place was clean, and the price was reasonable.

This place is magical, and the village it's located in is magnificent. The cuisine is simple and tasty, and the gentleman inside even sat down with us at the table to chat! An excellent restaurant for those seeking simplicity and privacy without sacrificing delicious dishes and good wine!
