Il locale e arredamento da trattoria ma costi da ristorante. Promozione adottata ma ”dalla finestra vengono comunicati costi accessori” che vanificano un conto moderato atteso! Che fare andare via e pagare il coperto e acqua 4 euro? Si rimane per evitare di rovinare la serata! Per altro le materie prime sono buone la composizione del piatto da osteria! Abbiamo letto la maggioranza delle recensioni e abbiamo deciso di provare. Il dualismo del livello di servizio rimane e il conto va comunque pagato ma un atteggiamento negativo rimane nel conto lo stesso!
In ogni caso il dolce e amaro nei costi da 3 stelle “copertoni”!

New Year's Eve dinner 2024. Second shift at 10.30pm. The food was excellent, the typical menu, they served quickly to finish at midnight and they didn't make it in time. The evening was alleviated by musical entertainment with music a little too loud for a dinner.

Decisamente una piacevole scoperta da modenese DOC ed in pieno centro città, mi rendo sempre più conto di quato siamo "banali e superficiali" alle volte nello scegliere i locali, rincorrendo moda comodità e "cool & fashion" del momento, mentre invece le tradizionali e storiche osterie che servono cortesia e tradizione culinaria alle volte siano di gran lunga superiori ai nomi più blasonati e pubblicizzati della ristorazione. Davvero complimenti e banalmente vi dico "continuate così" anche se avendo saputo che "ci siete" da oltre 20 anni suona decisamente "fuori luogo". Grazie a presto.

We ate here for lunch on January 1st with an almost last minute reservation... so we were lucky to have found the place (2pm) but it's a shame we were between the coat storage area and the door.
The food was excellent though

On holiday in Modena, for the first day of the year we booked at this place that I didn't know about.
Pleasant elegant environment, not very large but welcoming...
Courteous and kind table service, very friendly and affable owner...
Amazing food: tagliatelle with meat sauce, tortellini on parmesan cream, beef tongue on green and red sauce with mashed potatoes... very tender meat... Excellent 8l Sangiovese throughout the meal... ending with dessert : mascarpone cream with chocolate flakes and rum 24... what a delight....
A place suitable for all age groups, including families.
Low and not exaggerated prices.
If you are in Modena for a holiday or just passing through, this place is worth a stop.
Definitely coming back....

Nice and welcoming place in an alleyway in the center.
Both the first courses and the cutlet (generous in size, we divided it in two) were excellent. Prices not low, but in line with the quality of the dinner.

Very good cutlet with generous portions even if it is pork, and we appreciated the priest's hat with polenta.
X2 cutting board for almost 40 euros that can be improved, passable desserts.
The only negative note was the bill, we didn't expect the 4 euros each for a meaningless cover charge, given that there was no entree but only simple bread and 4 euros for a single bottle of water.
In short you sit down, drink some water for 8 euros and off you go, eight euros.

Very good food and wine, attentive and friendly service, fair prices. Despite our delay they still applied the discount linked to online booking.
