Antica Trattoria Cervetta In Modena

Trattoria situata in pieno centro storico di Modena. Non dispone di tanti coperti dunque se volete gustare in tranquillità dell'ottimo cibo tipico modenese vi consiglio di prenotare per tempo. Qui la tradizione fa da padrone e spaziamo da ampi taglieri con salumi tipici e gnocco fritto, i loro tipici tortellini in crema di parmigiano e aceto balsamico tutto accompagnato da dell'ottimo Lambrusco.

The restaurant is located in the city centre and, despite its lack of space (it is quite small), it is a not-to-be-missed stop for cuisine lovers. They offer dishes from the local tradition with a modern touch. The portions are reasonable, as are the prices. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Nice place in the center. Excellent dishes, especially the schnitzel. The service was fast and the staff attentive and kind. We spent a very pleasant evening in a quiet and welcoming environment.

Tortellini and tortelli were great, however portions were quite small and overall too pricey: not a trattoria, this is a restaurant. Staff was nice.

I booked this place through The Fork, with the option of a 20 percent discount on food. I was well received, they found me a table, what can I say, an elegant and well-made place, not too big. I chose the dishes and started with a tartare starter, the meat was good, well seasoned, nothing to say. Maybe a little too little quantity. Then came the cut, the disappointment of the evening, they didn't ask me how it was cooked, and when I ate it I was quite disappointed. Not very good meat, and even in this case, little quantity. Sin. For dessert I took the Cervetta cake and I must say that this was actually very good. I also took half a liter of Lambrusco and a bottle of water, a coffee and a white grappa. The total was 60 euros, including the 20 percent discount on food. Honestly, for what I ate, and the general quality, I would have expected a little less, I found it expensive. In the evening in bed I also got a good stomach ache which I don't know whether to attribute to the food itself. Unfortunately I have tried better, but I must say that the service was good, the waiters were friendly.

Now, in my frequent trips to Modena with a stop for lunch, in a hypothetical ranking of the places visited, this trattoria would be in last place Obviously I'm not describing a bad place, on the contrary, but the dishes we tasted were not classified beyond good. The tagliatelle a little behind in cooking and the ragù not from whuao, some tigelle not cooked to perfection. Good service, overall. Nice place but boxes of wine at the entrance in my opinion are ugly to look at. Certainly frequented by many and this is evidently a good thing for those who manage it, personally... I recommend it to anyone who wants to try a new place. Lunch is offered so I can't give an account of the prices but I don't think they are cheap. Rating 7/8.
