Antica Trattoria In Cortona

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful trattoria in January, and I can say without hesitation that it was a fantastic experience in every way. The atmosphere is welcoming, familiar, and makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The attention to detail is meticulous, warm, and authentic, just as a true trattoria should be. The cuisine is simply exceptional: traditional dishes prepared with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, generous portions, and flavors that bring to mind Sunday family lunches. Each course is crafted with passion, and you can taste it. From appetizers to dessert, everything was impeccable. The service is attentive, kind, and always with a smile. You can sense the love and dedication behind this place, and that's what makes the difference. I recommend this trattoria to anyone who wants to eat well, spend a fair amount, and have an authentic experience. I will definitely be back and recommend it without a doubt!

We had lunch here today and everything was delicious. They have gluten-free options and are very attentive. Excellent staff and a truly beautiful atmosphere. We even had our two dogs with us.

This is hands down our favorite restaurant in Cortona. Not only are the dishes spectacular and delicious but the husband and wife who run and operate the restaurant are warm and welcoming hosts adding to the overall experience! We stumbled upon the outdoor seating in the piazza one day and had the most delicious panzanella salad, recommended to me by my daughter, it was a lovely atmosphere under the umbrellas to enjoy the Tuscan Sun and the activity in one of the central Piazzas. Location is perfect! We had multiple dinners there, since we stumbled upon this place for lunch and have enjoyed every meal. Highly recommend as a must stop meal while in Cortona. Another hidden secret, the owner has a beautiful voice and she may entertain you as well!

We had lunch today at Antica Trattoria. The welcome was wonderful and the food delicious. Compliments to the chef and the owner, and a special thanks to Marley... a beautiful and cuddly four-legged friend... for all the love!

This restaurant was one of the highlights of our visit to Cortona. The staff were very professional and polite. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. As for the food, it was a gastronomic experience of exquisite flavours that is second to none. Highly recommended!

Visited this restaurant twice during our stay, once for lunch on a rainy day, and once on a Saturday evening. Both times we were welcomed in and given plenty of time to make our choices. Our waiter, Alex, was both helpful and knowledgeable. The food, the service, the environment and the atmosphere were all absolutely first class. Highly recommend.

Our food was spectacular as was our service. It’s a smaller but perfect location.

We were lucky to arrive just as they were opening so we got a table even though we didn't have a reservation. I have a number of dietary restrictions but we were able to find dishes that I could eat. When we ordered, I asked the server to recommend a bottle of wine for us and he suggested an economical option that went well with our meals. The lamb was more thoroughly cooked than I am used to, and the beef was much rarer than my companion was used to, but both were excellent! The gnocchi was also quite good. We finished with the tiramisù and loved it! Very different from what we find in the US, but absolutely delicious. The servers didn't hover or interrupt us, but were always available if we needed something. It was pretty easy to get their attention, and they spoke enough English that we didn't have a problem communicating. We should probably try some of the other restaurants in town, but the experience here was so good that this might be the only place we dine out during our stay!

Just enjoyed a delious meal at Antica Trattoria. Staff was very friendly, the food was of good quality and the portions were genorous and reasonably priced.
