Antica Trattoria In Cortona

We have a B&B by the sea in Porto Recanati and a house in Grosseto. Wonderful Cortona is halfway between here, and when we travel, we stop at the old trattoria where the food is excellent, with authentic old-world flavors, and the drinks are divine. The kindness is a hallmark, and the atmosphere is truly stunning. It's a wonderful way to experience and enjoy a fabulous evening. Thank you.

Not positive, despite a nice place and good music, for ''food'' and poor quality service despite ''appearance'' and kindness... [I had a positive experience before the change of management 2 years ago (they told me outside the place)]. The cleanliness of the toilets also left much to be desired due to various shortcomings...

The food was very tasty! We ordered the “tagliata originale” and “hand-pulled pici with Tuscan aglione garlic” and they were delicious, the tiramisu and red velvet cake were super moist, great! The staff was very friendly. They actually had no place left when we arrived, but they made a table at the bar next door, so we could still come and eat (the bar is part of the restaurant, but still). Nice experience!

Excellent place, very nice. At first, I was concerned about the reviews about the service, but the truth is, my experience was excellent, highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant in Cortona. All the waiters were incredibly friendly, and one took his time to explain what I could and couldn't eat as someone with coeliac disease. The food was lovely!

Proprio sulla piazza principale, di fronte al Palazzo Comunale (bello !) abbiamo voluto pranzare nei tavoli all' aperto, nonostante avesse appena smesso di piovere. Il personale sucuramente veloce e cortese. Abbiamo apprezzato dei piatti semplici ma ben curati e con ingredienti di qualità : meritano i complimenti per cibo, servizio, e conto.

We were surprised to discover the low Google rating for this restaurant after our lunch. We just had one of our best lunches in Tuscany there. The super reassuring service regarding my wife's pregnancy and allergies. The elegant menu and the excellent fresh homemade dishes. Very nice surprise and thank you to the chefs and waiters 🤩🙏 P.m.: the place seems to have recently changed ownership and to be clearly improving in terms of the quality of the dishes and the service

Nice place and quality food. Too bad the evening was cool and the central table was in a draft (and hearing the answer "what can I do" come on... it's not done...)

Ambiente semplice, pulito, accogliente e piacevole. Buono anche il servizio, con personale puntuale e disponibile. Pietanze di livello decisamente buono, sia come preparazione che come presentazione. Particolarmente apprezzabili le "tagliatelle al ragù di chianina in bianco" e, fra i secondi, "l'agnello al forno". Prezzi buoni e proporzionati al menù offerto. Un locale certamente da consigliare.
