Rustic, welcoming and warm place. The fogolar is a very rare gem. The staff was very kind. The dishes I ate were very tasty, the Cjarsons were sublime.

A refined environment that combines historicity and modernity. Typical menu with delicious dishes. We tasted the starter, first course, second course and dessert, all really excellent, even the coffee which is difficult to find of good quality! Excellent service, friendly and attention to detail, truly not to be taken for granted. Super honest price. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is located in an enchanting position, surrounded by the Carnia mountains in the heart of Verzegnis. The atmosphere is welcoming and rustic, with a touch of authenticity that makes you feel like you are at home.
The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. They welcomed me with a smile and made me feel at ease from the first moment. They also provided me with helpful advice on choosing traditional dishes from the area.
The cuisine is simply delicious. I had the opportunity to taste typical dishes such as polenta and frico, and I must say that they were absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh and high quality, and the taste was authentic and full of flavour.
Furthermore, the restaurant offers a wide selection of local wines, which pair perfectly with traditional dishes. I had the opportunity to try some wines from the region, and was pleasantly surprised by their quality and complexity.
The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, with a touch of tradition and authenticity. It is the perfect place to enjoy the typical cuisine of Carnia and immerse yourself in the local culture.

Excellent food. Friendly and attentive service. Our table was in the cellar, a suggestive place but a little too oppressive and noisy (even if the other diners were all very polite people, fortunately).

An einem sehr gewöhnlichen Wochentag, mittags: alles voll! Der freundliche Padrone, selbst überrascht von dem Andrang, bat um Geduld - sie hat sich gelohnt. Solide friulanische Küche mit einem deutlichen Schwerpunkt auf die Polenta, diese in der wunderbaren, groben Variante Toc (aus Socchieve vermutlich). Dazu verschiedenes Ragout (Hirsch, Ente ...). Und auch die anderen Klassiker fehlen nicht. Besser hungrig kommen, sonst wird es eng im Bauch. Gutes Weinangebot. Es wäre noch zu erforschen, vielleicht abends: wann geht der Fogolar so in Betrieb, dass auch dei Gäste drum herumsitzen?
