A very pleasant setting on the first floor of an old inn in Verzegnis, home to the Cossack command during World War II. The food is excellent, with carefully crafted traditional Friulian dishes and excellent wines. The owners are friendly, as are the staff. The menus are very sophisticated during major holidays. I highly recommend it.

Lunch break after a nice drive.
I absolutely recommend the "maltagliati with duck ragù."
Friendly owners and home-cooked food featuring traditional dishes.
The chocolates served with coffee were memorable: white chocolate made with fava beans and polenta flour. I was hesitant to try white chocolate, which is usually a substitute that tastes only of sugar, but I had to change my mind. They were truly delicious!

An authentic experience; they didn't get carried away by the TV hype, and everything retains the simple, typical mountain atmosphere. The fireplace is stunning, the food excellent (perhaps I'd expand the main course selection), and the staff are friendly. The house wine is also very good; I recommend it. I also recommend this place for those with children and for those wanting to visit the nearby Art Park. Oh, and if you found two Pokémon figurines on the floor, they belong to my son.

Birthday lunch, great expectations for the Stella d'Oro, which won the "I 4 Ristoranti" award as the best restaurant in Carnia.
Traditional Carnic dishes included "il toc da vore," an ancient lumberjack dish, polenta tart with black trumpet mushrooms, potato gnocco stuffed with plums, and pumpkin and "muset" crepes.
I should point out that the tiramisu wasn't up to par, and
Ours was the only table with an unlit candle, a small detail that affected my judgment.

Typical Friulian cuisine; if I could give it 10 stars, I'd give it a thumbs up.
Every dish on the menu is prepared with incredible care, and everything is simply delicious! The restaurant is welcoming and well-kept. The extremely kind staff makes you feel at home, pampered, and appreciated.
Absolutely not to be missed!
