We received a very warm welcome from the owner, were able to choose a table, and were given the menu along with some bread. We also ordered drinks. We had spaghetti with seafood and a mixed fried seafood dish. Both were of good quality and delicious. The portions were adequate, perhaps a bit small by German standards, but they were sufficient for us. The prices were also perfectly reasonable. We were there at the end of May, the week before Easter, and it was relatively quiet. If the quality remains this good during peak season, it's definitely worth a visit.

The atmosphere is casual and modest. The menu is simple and well made. Everything we ordered was excellent. Best calamari ever. Their table wine was also surprisingly good.

We had such a wonderful dining experience at Antica Osteria Il Baretto during our visit to Vernazza. The food was absolutely amazing and truly memorable. We ordered the pesto pasta and the seafood pasta, and both were exceptional; fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish tasted authentic and perfectly balanced, exactly what you hope to experience when eating in Cinque Terre. What made the experience even more special was the hospitality. We actually came in with a small request because we wanted to have one last pasta before leaving Vernazza, and they were incredibly accommodating and kind enough to prepare it for us. It meant a lot to us. The chefs are truly talented, and you can feel the passion in the food they serve. Beyond the delicious dishes, the warmth and friendliness of the team made the whole experience even better specially Christian. If you’re in Vernazza and looking for authentic local cuisine and wonderful hospitality, this place is definitely worth visiting. We highly recommend it!

Overall, it's fine, but I find it too expensive for what it is.

This restaurant was one of the few open (a big plus), so we went in and they cleared our table right away; there was very little wait. The atmosphere was nice, there was great music, and the setting was lovely. As for the food, we thought it was good, but given the price, we expected larger portions (€18 per dish, €6 for the potatoes and €8 for the zucchini). The dessert was the only thing reasonably priced for what it was. So overall, I have mixed feelings.
