Antica Osteria Il Baretto In

Passing through Vernazza, we stopped for lunch at this Osteria near the train station. Service was relatively quick considering the high traffic. There's about thirty seats outside along the street. We ordered pasta with anchovies, and it turned out to be a very tasty dish. Prices were reasonable considering you're in the Cinque Terre. I highly recommend it if you're in the area!

We had fish for dinner, and as a Sicilian, I can immediately tell if it's good or not. This time, it was truly excellent: incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff is very friendly, and the place is quiet, with great background music (Baptiste, so to speak). My sincere compliments for the work done, especially to Christian! I recommend this place to everyone!

we stopped at this place during afternoon wanting to have a few drinks, do the wine tasting and to get some starters to share. Unfortunately we were told (not very nicely) by the staff that unless every person orders at least one meal with the drinks we weren’t able to stay.. Which was a bit disappointing, especially as it was neither during lunch nor dinner time and most of the tables were empty anyways.. We ended up staying nevertheless and ordered food that we actually didn’t really wanted.. At least the food turned out to be really good which made up for the not so great experience in the beginning. If you want to have lunch or dinner it’s a nice place to go, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re just planning on some drinks or snacks.

The meal is too expensive compared to the price, in fact for the 6 small "calamari gratin" with a salad, you have to pay 18€. For the other dish the price was correct (15€). In addition, the waiters are not very communicative. I had barely finished my dish when he came to take my plate without saying or asking anything while my wife had not yet finished eating. Otherwise the meal was still good and the location is convenient.

A very good place on the main street of Vernazzola, with very friendly and helpful service. I recommend it for the price.

Cenetta semplice, cucinata bene e a prezzo onesto per il posto in cui si trova. Teorie al pesto e pasta al sugo di mare ben cucinati e cotti. Peccato per il rumore di fondo e il servizio lento

Personale gentile, posto semplice ma accogliente , cibo buono rispetto ai soliti posti turistici di cui Vernazza è piena, ci tornerei!
