Even high quality must have the right price. High-quality food, all very good, but at a decidedly too high price (for the location and simplicity of the dishes).

It's possible this restaurant was once good (Michelin 2009, 2010, and 2011). But unfortunately, I can't recommend it today. While the service was attentive, we received some of the wrong dishes, the meat was served lukewarm, and the wine was okay. At this price point, these are unacceptable mistakes, especially when the restaurant is about an hour outside of Bologna (by car).

At the Antica Osteria del Mirasole, it's immediately clear that tortellini aren't just a dish, but an act of faith, to be eaten in religious silence.
The cotoletta alla bolognese, on the other hand, is a national monument disguised as a main course: crispy on the outside, sinful on the inside, with that oozing of ham and cheese that makes you apologize to the scale.
The service is precise but never stiff, the atmosphere authentic without the fake air of "Instagrammable" osterias. The bill is medium-high, but so is the experience: here, you don't dine, you celebrate.

I must confirm what other reviews have highlighted. The food is high quality, the table service is good, but the prices aren't justified. While I can understand the tortellini d'affioramento as a single dish, even though €30 remains a price that's hard to justify despite the ingredients and labor, the veal tenderloin at €45, certainly not memorable in terms of tenderness, doesn't make much sense. If the prices were 30% lower, I'd see good value, but frankly, they're good for having people, even if many are high-spending foreigners. Even the desserts at €12 are overpriced. I found the wine list more reasonable.

Well-appointed rooms with a wonderful shower and all the comforts. Step down and you'll find a wonderful Osteria serving traditional dishes and excellent service.

We had a great time, a dinner with friends featuring the inevitable tortellino with cream. The bill was steep (almost €100 per person for three people, including two bottles, two main courses each, and dessert), but we were prepared; the menu and prices are online.
