If you find yourself in Greve in Chianti, Antica Macelleria Falorni is a must-see. I've purchased several products there and must say the quality is truly excellent.

People go to Antica Macelleria Falorni these days just to explore the beautiful surroundings, the artifacts from a bygone era, the hanging cured meats... but not for the food. We ordered a large platter, which should have been for two, for €28: a few slices of prosciutto, two types of salami, and a few slices of the same cheese. The cheeses kept in the cellar are only on display, despite the waitress's assurance that we'd be able to sample several. It's a shame; the place is very beautiful; I've been there many times over the years, but now the prices are truly outrageous.

The Falorni butcher shop is the pinnacle of Tuscan delicatessen. Excellent products, all made on-site. You must try them and stop for a tasty snack at their shop in the main square in Greve in Chianti. Top.

You can't visit Greve without stopping by Falorni. Entering this historic butcher's shop is a sensory experience: the aroma of the hanging cured meats and the period furnishings transport you back in time. We tried the Cinta Senese platter and a glass of Chianti Classico from the vending machines: both excellent. The prices are a little high, but justified by the quality of the ingredients and the history of the place. The staff was friendly despite the large crowds. Highly recommended for a quick but high-quality lunch.

I was there yesterday afternoon. Fantastic butcher shop. Excellent quality. If you want, you can also enjoy a platter with a good wine. We opted for cantucci and vin santo.
