Antica Macelleria Falorni In Greve in chianti

I hadn't been to Greve in Chianti since 1985, and I hadn't entered this butcher's shop since that year. ... 40 years have passed! 😳 It was a pleasure to see the owner again, he is still kind and affable as he was 40 years ago. 👍 About the place... well, there is very little to say unlike what others have already written, to praise this business. Just entering... is a marvel! 🤩 Indeed, a marvel, it is already for the aromas that you inhale just by approaching the entrance doors, because when you enter... well, the photos I took and those of the other people who reviewed, speak for themselves. Here, even those who are not lovers of cured meats... become one instantly. 🤣 You would want to buy everything... at least, a piece of something, for every product on display. We "limited" ourselves in purchasing, also because, although the prices are "normal" considering the place where the business is located, the prices are not that cheap compared to where we come from (Milan), but here everything that is on display, invites you/incites you to buy. 🤣 It is also true that in Milan, however, if you find some products that they have here, they have absolutely NOTHING to do with the flavor that these local ones have, because these... are a unique delicacy. 👍👍👍 💪💪💪 In Milan, for example, you can find Finocchiona (typical salami of these places) in supermarkets, but... the difference in flavor is ABYSMIC with this local one. If I had to compare the flavors, I would say that those of Milan that for us who live there and buy them are "good"... well, those of Milan suck compared to these. Let's not even talk about the wild boar salamis that they have here in this butcher's shop... a UNIQUE delicacy!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Here at Falorni, they also sell cheese and... wine. You can taste their products, remaining comfortably seated at the tables and while you taste, look at the beauty of Piazza Matteotti with its statue of Giovanni da Verrazzano. Yes, come on, when we return... without a shadow of a doubt not in 40 years 🤣🤣🤣 but much sooner, we will return to buy from this butcher's shop again. In the photos below, in addition to the products that are on sale there, there are photos of the bag with almost everything we bought inside. Almost everything... because several "little things", we have already eaten them in the two days we were in Greve in Chianti. ...we couldn't resist until we got home, we had to taste/eat these delicacies. 🤣🤣🤣 Macelleria Falorni... 👍👍👍

A paradise....of meat, sausages, prosciutto of all kinds.

Amazing selection of meats and cheeses, not to mention 50 wines in a self service machine! Great spot for lunch. We also bought some sausages and Porchetta to rake away, they were delicious!

I go there almost every year, everything is excellent quality.

During a walk in the heart of Greve in Chianti, I stopped at Antica Macelleria Falorni and tasted the schiacciata al salame. The schiacciata is fragrant with just the right amount of crunchiness on the outside and a soft center. The salami is perfectly seasoned, rich in flavor but balanced, with a scent that tells of tradition. All for about €6, a very fair price for such a delicious product. Perfect for a quick snack or an informal lunch featuring Tuscan flavors.

An amazing butcher & cheese shop with a deli. If you are a foodie-this is heaven. I wish there was something like this in the US!

Beautiful place inside and obviously crazy prices, but that's part of the show. I took some takeaway stuff, shame that the wild boar sauce was really sad, what a shame

Claro, hay muchos lugares que tienen salchichas de jabalí, pero ninguno como este lugar .. increíbles cortes de carne fresca y muchas, muchas salchichas. También buena selección de quesos. Compré varias piezas para aperitivos, y todas fueron excelentes.

Giornata di sole e un tepore quasi primaverile ci invitano a un giro fuori porta. A Greve in Chianti, deliziosa cittadina vicino a Firenze, una domenica in piazza con mercato del vintage e tanti turisti. Ora di pranzo e quindi una sosta culinaria presso la Macelleria Falorni …famosa per i suoi salumi e i prodotti tipici toscani. Una breve attesa e un tavolino sotto i portici veramente caratteristici per ordinare un ricco tagliere di salumi con prosciutto del Falorni, prosciutto di cinghiale e prosciutto di cinta senese con accompagnamento schiacciata e croccantella. In aggiunta una ribollita e una tartare con lardo e rosmarino. Tutto molto buono, genuino e decisamente curato. Gentile il personale e azzeccata la formula del numero per prenotare il menù scelto e poi essere serviti al tavolo !!! Ci torneremo presto e quindi consigliatissimo.
