13/05/2025: Location? We had a table near canal and it does smell, mosquitoes are present even in early May. But, you are in Venezia, water is everywhere! Food? Decent, but just that. Won't say anything bad. Service? Attentive to the point that you are pushed to make a decision fast - fast table turn around brings up the revenue. I understand but it takes away from the experience. Wine? Definitely priced on the high end. Probably wine closer to $100 may have tasted better but no guarantee, I only bought $60 bottle. Who goes there? During our visit it was tourists all around. Not a great sign. How did I found about the place? Hotel concierge recommendation. I will let you to make your own conclusions. Last but not least, they include 12% “tax, service charge” - basically tips are included in the bill. Although staff encouraged to leave a cash tips as well - quite a shady practice. Interesting also that majority of staff are not of an Italian origin.
