Historic place, good products. We couldn't try the arancini because they were finished. The only flaw is the smell of fried food is really strong so I recommend sitting in the back room

The best Sicilian pizzas in Catania and surrounding areas. The scacciate and crispelle are also excellent. After returning with friends and my wife, I confirm the opinion given years ago, when the place was smaller. The ventilation system has been improved, but some improvements are perhaps still possible. The restaurant is larger and is divided into two functional areas: one, at the entrance, for a quicker meal, the other, at the back, with tables and chairs

I would also like to point out the goodness of the ricotta ravioline and a greater choice of drinks.
A few days ago, after about a month, I returned with my wife and some friends to the Stella fryer. My wife and I ate an excellent scacciata with potatoes: well seasoned but light and very tasty, thin thickness of the scacciata pasta; never eaten before. The cauliflower scacciata was also very good, as always: well seasoned (without overdoing it), and digestible.
The welcome was warm, the service impeccable. Always good value for money.

Una tappa fondamentale nella cucina catanese dove il fritto domina e custodisce sapori inalterati nel tempo. La pizza contadina è quella che preferisco, come pure le crispelle farcite di acciuga o ricotta. Grande professionalità del personale, che con destrezza impasta, frigge e si muove attorno ai padelloni come in una danza. Consiglio vivamente questa friggitoria, È una gioia sia per gli occhi che per il palato 😋

Buon cibo, ma servizio eccessivamente lento. Per una scacciata abbiamo atteso un’ora, idem per i dolci. Locale tutto sommato carino.
