Antica Focacceria San Francesco In Milano

We try this place in Milan, convinced by a friend from Palermo who knows the historic restaurant of his city well. I can't say anything about Palermo as I've only heard the stories, but I fear that the Milanese experiment is moving towards the usual sterile McDonald's model chain... The welcoming place and the discreet food, the girls are fabulous, very kind and helpful, but it lacks the Sicilian touch that you can expect when booking in this type of venue. In short, apart from the famous name, little substance, you can find better things in Milan.

Main course ok nothing more. Highlight on dessert. In particular, the tiramisu was very popular. Thanks to the head waiter for getting us to make these desserts even though the waiter refused. We tipped for the trouble... but overall not a great experience.

Very nice and helpful service and a nice selection of typical dishes. Everything was very tasty (unfortunately I forgot the photos) and absolutely worth the price! Barrier-free access to the sanitary rooms upon request.

I had dinner in this place: the staff was kind and professional, but above all the Palermo specialties had the taste... just right! Appetizer of panelle, crocchè and mini arancini, timbale of baked rings and a glass of Nero d'Avola: top! Congratulations, it really deserves the 5 stars.

Good value for money, the staff was very nice

A place that has been open for many years now, with a wide choice of cold and hot dishes both to take away and to eat on site. The staff is quite friendly but unhelpful (depends on the day). The only flaw is the prices which have increased significantly in the last year and a half. We used to go there for breakfast almost every morning with coffee and croissants, but it became almost prohibitive and we changed places.

A nice place 2 steps from the cathedral, good food and excellent prices.

Exaggerated place, exceptional food quality

il bagno si trova ben due piani sotto l'ingresso. considerata la scala piuttosto impervia e la mia disabilità, ho chiesto ad una cameriera se vi fosse un ascensore. in malo modo mi risponde negativamente. chiedo se vi fossero servizi più vicini o facilmente accessibili e mi risponde testualmente e con un sorrisino inspiegabilmente provocatorio: "se vuoi andare in bagno, sempre due piani di scale ti devi fare". con prudenza e molta fatica, scendo le scale. nel risalire, ancor più affaticato e ansimante, in palese difficoltà, vengo notato da altro personale il quale con garbo e gentilezza mi invita ad usare l'ascensore. ho spiegato la situazione e con palese imbarazzo si sono scusati tutti e prodigati ad aiutarmi. vi racconterei anche altri particolari su cibo, location e via dicendo, ma questo episodio per me ha avuto prevalenza su tutto e mi ha sconvolto oltremodo. non sono qui però a raccontare il vergognoso atteggiamento della singola mela marcia, ma a rendere encomio e porgere vivi ringraziamenti al resto del gruppo invitandolo a non farsi contagiare e a continuare così.
