Over-priced, even if, contrary to other opinions, there is no coperto to pay, I remain surprised by the price of the sfincione (6€!!) and the drinks Quality level is great but expensive

Overall good, the first one I took was very good but incredibly heavy, I usually have a good stomach but this one put it to the test. Charming square. He also eats the typical pane e cazzilli, pane c'a meusa. Not too friendly staff. Slightly high price for a city like Palermo. You pay for location and history.

Very pleasant experience, in fact I'm surprised by the 3.9 rating... it's really good and elegant! Tasty appetizers, plentiful and good first courses! Pasta with sardines is a must try, as are the baked anelletti. Location in a pedestrian area, very pretty square. Friendly staff. We will be back.

Truly characteristic place with Art Nouveau entrance. You can sit outside in the small square facing the church of San Francesco or inside. I got the delicious sfincione to take away. The other treats didn't look bad either. I will definitely go back, I recommend it to everyone both for a break and to take something to take away.

Good food but expensive prices. You pay 3 euros for cover just to sit when a sandwich with spleen costs 3.80...excessive in my opinion

Apart from the torment of the musician who "sings and plays" for OVER AN HOUR forcing the poor customers to suffer an exhausting moan, the rest could be acceptable. Get rid of it! Turn the volume down on him! Reduce the time of his presence! Even just chatting with friends becomes impossible.

16/07/2024: Senza parole. Prezzo, qualità e servizio senza eguali. Miglior trattoria di pesce della zona. Piatti tipici della tradizione di ottima qualità e pesce freschissimo.
14/07/2024: Gli antipasti sono stati di media qualità, i primi ancora meno ma i secondi immangiabili. Il pranzo è finito senza un caffè, pecca non giustificabile. Lo consiglio solo se si ha tanta fame e se si vuole mangiare con poca qualità del cibo.

10/07/2024: This restaurant overall was good not excellent not bad but good. I wouldn’t return but I enjoyed the food. We started the meal off with the “pano e coperto”. This complementary but paid for bread which was ok. Nothing special, quite hard and difficult to eat. Oil was offered however could not save what tasted like very stale bread. Did not finish. For starter we had the caponata which was very flavourful, rich and delicious. 10/10 one of the best things we ordered that day. The aubergine, olives and everything were incredibly cooked. A bit oily but it made the dish more delicious. Highly recommend. For main we had the zucchine fritte (zucchini pasta) which was incredibly underwhelming and the Sarde (sardine tomato pasta) which was so flavourful and tomatoey. I would say the Sarde was a 7/10 but if it came with cheese it easily would have been a 10/10. We were not given cheese, as we have not visited Italy before we were unsure if cheese would have been included with the pasta. If I came back I would ONLY get the pasta with cheese. The flavour of the sardines tastes very similar to tuna. A very delicious tomato fish pasta… missing the cheese. The Zucchine Fritte was a bit bland. We had to add left over caponata to it, to add some flavour. Bland. Cheese did not also come with this pasta… I wish it did to bring some sort of flavour to the meal. The portion sizes were very good, we could not finish it all and we were able to take the rest for dinner. I very much appreciated the takeaway tubs provided! The waiters were lovely and happy to recommend specials. Very friendly and they spoke enough English where we ordered knowing what it was. The food arrived quickly but it took FOREVER to get the bill. We had to wave down a server after an hour. If we did not do this I think we would still be at the restaurant to this day. We sat outside which was lovely, great vibes and good location of the restaurant. I wouldn’t come back just because I wasn’t wowed overall by the restaurant. If you do go I recommend the caponata and the Sarde but with cheese. Do not get the zucchine fritte. Also be prepared for a long wait for the bill (fast enough for food service).
14/06/2024: Historic place with typical Palermo dishes, very kind and friendly staff!! Super recommended.
