Antica Cantina In Orvieto

We were here a week ago, nothing to complain about the food, really good, they also do gluten-free, but the waiting times for two first courses, and finally for two coffees, when we were basically the only ones there seemed a bit long!

The truffle pasta was delicious, as was everything else. The service was very friendly. Overall, highly recommended!

The restaurant feels like a living room inside. It's a small, cozy, and warm place. I chose to eat outside because there was air conditioning inside. The restaurant is certified gluten-free, so you'd expect the usual four-course meal and packaged bread. But no! Everything is gluten-free! The pasta is homemade, as is the bread. I didn't even notice the difference. And considering the effort put into the preparation, the prices are absolutely reasonable. Service isn't the fastest because the waitress is alone, but she manages to keep an eye on the inside and outside of the restaurant without sacrificing attention and presence. It's another opportunity to take your time. Highly recommended!

Best gluten free meal in Italy so far ! The highlights were the coniglio a porchetta (rabbit with potatoes) and ombricelli alla norcina! For dessert we had the quiche which was fresh and yummy.

We were visiting Orvieto and chose this place because of the excellent reviews. We weren't disappointed, as our food was excellent and the kindness of the waitresses made the rest. I would only recommend two things: the wait for the dishes to be prepared, in my opinion, was a bit long, and the salad was already dressed. I would expect guests to be free to add or remove certain dressings, and not have it already dressed. But these are minor things, so I recommend it.

We stumbled upon this restaurant because I can't eat gluten; it was recommended to us by locals. One of the fantastic things is that almost all the dishes offered could be made gluten-free (with the exception of a couple of the specials of the day), and at no extra charge! A very rare feature, which we greatly appreciated. The food was amazing! Sophisticated and delicious combinations. Many vegetarian options, but few vegan ones. If you go, the pear carpaccio is a must. Impeccable service; the waitress who looked after us was truly kind and warm. Excellent value. For two, we spent €70, including (each) an appetizer, a first course, and a side dish, plus two waters and a decaf. So, if you want a more affordable meal, you can order a first course (medium portions) for between €10 and €18. Highly recommended!!!

We had a great time, the staff were friendly and the dishes were spectacular.

Io e il mio compagno siamo stati qui a cena durante il ponte del primo maggio, il locale è molto bello, noi abbiamo cenato fuori dove si trovano pochi posti ma con il giusto spazio. Le ragazze che ci hanno seguiti ci hanno accolti con cortesia e disponibilità, nonostante fossimo in anticipo di quasi un'ora ci hanno fatto accomodare subito. Il servizio è eccellente, si sono occupate dei clienti senza essere pressanti ma presenti per qualsiasi necessità. Il mio compagno ha diverse intolleranze ed allergie eppure hanno trovato la soluzione per ogni piatto richiesto, cucina gluten free (se non ricordo male è proprio AIC) e opzioni anche vegetariane. Il cibo superbo, io ho preso lo stinco e la carne si scioglieva in bocca! I prezzi potrebbero risultare un po' alti ma ne vale la pena, consiglio vivamente di provare! Ringraziamo le gentili donzelle e se torneremo a Orvieto sicuramente ci fermeremo qui per gustare altre bontà.

Abbiamo mangiato il 1 maggio e nonostante fosse un giorno festivo, con Orvieto che scoppiava di turisti ed il locale pieno non abbiamo aspettato neanche 10 minuti che è arrivata la cameriera per la comanda, subito si e preoccupata se ci fossero persone intolleranti. Avendo mia figlia celiachia si sono preoccupati prima di portare il suo pane in un cartoccio e posizionato lontano dal nostro, poi a seguire il suo piatto, con tutta la cura e la gentilezza possibile,poi a seguire il nostro, si preoccupava per la bambina, chiedendo se il suo pane fosse sufficiente, ci ha spiegato tutti gli ingredienti che componevano il suo piatto. Devo dire locale pulito, cibo ottimo, cortesia e gentilezza. Da provare e ritornare grazie mille per la bella giornata che siamo riusciti a passare anche grazie a voi. Torneremo Devo dire non per niente hanno la certificazione di locale per celiaci anche 2025
