Antica Besseta is amazing! I’m visiting Venice for the first time and stumbled upon this gem. The food was amazing, I had the fish of the day with vegetables it was incredible paired with Souve wine. The ambiance is great, quiet, intimate, and welcoming. I would definitely go again and recommend for someone looking to try a place with deep roots in Venice.

Very disappointed by this highly-rated restaurant. The starter and main course were very good... but as for the dessert, don't bother, it was really disappointing... just ordinary. The waiter only spoke to men, blatantly ignoring women. The price was far too high for the overall quality.

Late night dining in Venice. We came late so missed out on a clam and mushroom risotto but had a strong tube pasta pesto, taglioni with duck ragout (fantastic), fish of the day, sea bream carpaccio, pasta with clams, and some interesting celery sorbet with tequila and solid tiramisu. The service was friendly and they brought some dessert treats on the house. They were also good about serving us even though we came in very close to closing time and we were the last ones to leave the place.

31/08/2025: We had a starter of lobster linguine, very good, flavorful, and plentiful. The fish was well-cooked, the tuna succulent, and the salmon melted in your mouth. The vegetable sides were very good and fresh. The meat, in short, was cold and tasteless. For dessert, the sfogliatella and cheesecake were good. Parking at Aldi, then when you ask for the bill, leave your ticket and they'll cancel the charge. Recommendation But certainly nothing extraordinary, good for a quiet dinner. Cost (€75 per couple - there were 6 of us)
