Amano In Trieste

A small, popular and not at all touristy restaurant, Salumeria A Mano offers excellent charcuterie specialties including ham cooked in a crust, with dry and light Friuli white wines, in a traditional setting.

When we arrived on site the fried sardines were finished. Initially tragedy. Luckily there were sardines in savòr. An epic discovery. Cooked to perfection. The creamed cod and the crostone with liptauer (Triestine cheese foam) are absolutely worth trying. Lastly, the potato and plum gnocchi. We were THRILLED 🤩 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The best food in Trieste. The paninis are amazing and the pasticcio is full of flavour. The service and atmosphere is good.

What was supposed to be a quick pit stop for an aperitif turned into a delicious lunch... a large platter of local cured meats accompanied by a bottle of local white wine, and to conclude, tastings of exceptional fried foods and meatballs! Easy-going service that reflects the atmosphere of a local deli/restaurant. Super prices in line with the quality of the products... we will definitely be back!

Simply kindness, professionalism squared, the food from the meatballs to the pasticcio, passing through the desserts, in my case the tiramisu, all 6 stars and last but not least the price. Congratulations to all the staff

Characteristic tavern with a wide choice of local foods. I always come back when I come to Trieste.

Small but very welcoming place where you can breathe the flavor of tradition.... We ate there several times and were always happy and satisfied. Excellent crusted ham, lard, bacon, exquisite Liptower, very fresh fried sardines, space-age meat pie, good and varied boiler potatoes in the pan like grandma's, and finally the amazing unfiltered beer!!!! Abundant dishes, fast service, courtesy and kindness always present..... Small tables for a quick visit. Despite the goodness, the prices are affordable. There is a step to enter and they kindly put the platform in case there are wheelchairs. The tables are small but quite accessible to wheelchairs, there are two steps to access the bathroom. Sigh.

Bel locale, con annessa salumeria, della tradizione triestina, accogliente, caldo e ben tenuto. Servizio rapido con due piatti tipici locali, un piatto di polpette, acqua e birra, il tutto per € 25,00 in due persone. Nelle città ci vorrebbero più locali di questo stile. Valido.
