All'Ombra del Barocco In Lecce

Great experience dining at this restaurant. My wife and I are both vegan and shared an entree, two mains, a side dish and they even had vegan ice cream. Everything tasted delicious plus the staff was super nice and the atmosphere relaxing.

Very nice experience. We had dinner one time and a wine tasting session on a separate occasion. The wine tasting was very well organized by Federica -the sommelier- who alternated between English and Italian with the table next to us. Overall it was a quite fun exchanging points of view about the wines with Federica and the other table. She took the time to explain about the history of each of the Pugliese wines we were trying. The food -we ordered it separately- was very well paired with the wines. The gnocchi with boar sauce was a great combination with the reds I asked. The parmigiana with ricotta is excellent as a first course. The sommelier can advise on wine pairings as well. Staff is very nice and professional. Strongly recommended!

We had dinner for two evenings, a comfortable and modern environment, competent, professional and professional staff with kindness, we had a platter, broad beans and chicory and orecchiette with white turnips with the addition of chilli pepper, an excellent quality primitive rosé to drink. Prices adequate for what we consumed.

A top night was had. The place was busy with large bookings on a Monday evening, yet they found us a table for two. Fabulous. Food, service and atmosphere were a cracker. Stracciatella, gnocchi vongole and grilled octopus, all sensational. Sommelier suggested wine was a perfect match. Highly recommended! Thank you.
