We booked for Easter lunch, remembering an excellent meal at this place. First bad note, we had to wait 15 minutes just to show our reservation because, apparently, the reservation of the group before us had not been recorded.
Good food, so-so service. Long waiting times and little courtesy, if not downright rudeness of the waitress to whom we asked for bread and water and she answered us in a grumpy way: "when I can!" clearly annoyed by our request.
Too bad.

We ate very well, 3 of us spent €90. A little expensive.

Cozy, quiet and typically Italian, I think it's a good price/performance ratio. It was a bit loud while eating. But that is not unusual in Italy either. Will definitely stay there again

We stopped at this restaurant after visiting Giuseppe Verdi's birthplace. The place is very nice and the food is good (the culatello is exceptional). But I only have to give 3 stars because :1) perhaps because the place was full and the staff was poor, the fact is that the service needs to be improved: long waiting times (almost two hours for an appetizer, 2 first courses, a dessert and a coffee), they made a mistake in bringing us some fried cake that we didn't order, we were asked for the same thing by several waiters but it wasn't brought to us, we asked for the coffee twice after waiting about 15 minutes, we had to put the dishes in plain sight of the appetizer otherwise they would not be taken away by the waiters who passed back and forth. 2) the tortellini with herbs are good but cannot be called such. There is only a trace of the herbs. The filling is made up of 90% ricotta and parmesan and in fact they only tasted like parmesan. 3) the sweet salami was practically all biscuits. The chocolate part (very good) only served as glue. The proportions therefore need to be reviewed.
Overall we still ate well. Average prices

Typical cuisine of the Verdi area. Typical cured meats as a starter, anolini as a first course and rabbit with your own recipe. You leave truly satisfied. 😍🍷

Cena con amici in questo ristorante della città natale di Giuseppe Verdi. Tutto richiamava le opere di Verdi ed abbiamo apprezzato piatti tipici del posto freschissimi e con i consigli dello staff, quest'ultimi gentilissimi e molto preparati. Una qualità prezzo di altissimo livello, consigliatissimo!

il nomesi rifà alla casa del popolo, be questo ristorante della tradizione locale offre materia prima molto buona e piatti della tradizione da provare. La torta Fritta era uno spettacolo non ricordo quanti bis abbiamo richiesto.
