Alla Via di Mezzo In Montefalco

I'll start by saying I had very, very high expectations, and perhaps that's why I was slightly disappointed. The buffet is very rich, but after 3 or 4 items, everything is very bland (pickles, cold cuts, cheeses, etc.). The waiters are very, very fast with their service, not giving you time to properly enjoy a meal of that caliber. The main courses could be improved, but they're generally good and well-proportioned. Let's talk about Giorgione, the man himself. I'd give him 5 stars for him alone. He's very affable and helpful with everyone. At least in that respect, I wasn't disappointed at all. On the contrary... Overall, I recommend going to him at least once. I'd also recommend arriving on time, but also early to enjoy the buffet without too many people.

Nice place, the food leaves much to be desired, not a positive experience, from the pans with the food still fried on the edge, very salty pasta with raw ham appetizer, good fried dumplings full of oil, a shame because the staff is very nice and kind, the kitchen needs to be reviewed

I had high expectations for this restaurant, and they were partly confirmed. The quality of the food is very good, and the portions are more than generous. What was disappointing, however, was finding several completely unrelated products, such as NDuja and Northern Italian cheeses, alongside typical Umbrian and Tuscan products. Umbria is full of excellent cheeses, and I would have chosen one of those instead of finding Taleggio or Fontina. I understand that they're cheaper than Umbrian cheeses, but at this point, I'd skip them altogether. The service was quick, and Giorgione's friendliness, patiently willing to have his photo taken with guests, was also a plus.

The set menu and surprise main course met expectations. The staff were helpful and courteous.

There are no words, a dream come true

We booked in March for the end of November 😅 and they told us Giorgione wouldn't be there... BUT HE WAS 😃🤩 We started off with a bang 💥 the Osteria is just as I expected... the service was quick, friendly, and very well prepared. It starts with the self-service appetizer buffet where you can find food for all tastes (from vegetables to cheeses and their own preparations) and then moves on to the two first courses and two second courses served directly at the table, but you can't choose because they're the menu of the day! Dessert is also served at the table. A wonderful experience, definitely worth repeating... Thank you

È il terzo anno che ceno da Giorgione a Montefalco. Purtroppo, quest'anno la cena non è stata all'altezza delle precedenti. Se posso permettermi un consiglio, eviterei di proporre sempre la faraona come secondo. Gli antipasti restano comunque il punto forte della serata, come sempre. Nota positiva anche per il Grechetto, davvero ottimo

Sono stata svariate volte da Giorgione, l ultima ieri sera. Sempre a cena. Ho sempre mangiato sostanzialmente bene. Ieri sera obiettivamente sono rimasta delusa. Le due portate di pasta erano decisamente indietro di cottura (una l abbiamo fatta rifare...). Per l ennesima volta uno dei due secondi era costituito da faraona ( che io nn amo, e quindi nn ho mangiato...). I tris di dolci era davvero eccessivamente dolce. Gli antipasti invece non deludono mai. Mi chiedo: hanno cambiato qualche elemento in cucina? In memoria delle esperienze precedenti gli darò ancora un'occasione, sperando che sia stata una serata sbagliata.
