This is a MUST detour off the main highway. The waitress was so gracious to help us choose great selections of pasta and wine. The chef checked on us personally. Great introduction for us coming into Italy. We highly recommend.

In the heart of Portogruaro, but away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping streets, this restaurant is a pleasant discovery. The location is truly suggestive: overlooking the Lemene river, it offers an enchanting glimpse of the city, surrounded by buildings in typical Venetian style. We dined on the outdoor terrace, where some tables overlook the river. A quiet, intimate corner with an almost romantic atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening. The menu offers well-prepared dishes made with quality raw materials. We chose the raw fish - fresh, well-presented and really tasty - as well as a fish first course and a tuna steak, both very good and cooked with care. The staff was kind and helpful, always present without ever being intrusive. An ideal restaurant for those who want a refined dinner in a charming setting, which combines good food and a suggestive atmosphere.

Here time stops and the pleasure of conviviality has the opportunity to manifest itself, also thanks to Mauro's welcome and his great passion that is perceived! In the heart of the historic center of Portogruaro, on the banks of the Lemene river, it has outdoor tables and about forty seats inside. Selected raw materials, expert preparation of dishes and unique flavors. Fish and meat dishes. A very respectable wine list and a significant number of wines by the glass (far-sighted choice!) even for a business lunch like today I truly felt pampered! Great example of a Venetian osteria of substance! Highly recommended! Prices in line with the great quality! A point of reference when I pass through these wonderful areas!

La storia un perito elettronico appena diplomato con la passione per la cucina un padre Mauro , impiegato,che crede nei sogni del figlio e molla il lavoro e aiuta il figlio a realizzare il suo sogno. In pochi anni realizzano qualcosa di eccezionale che sembra avere competenze ereditate da decenni e da generazioni. Una bella storia Italiana. Chapeau

Today, May 1st, together with some friends, we had lunch "Alla barchessa". In a characteristic and pleasant environment, we were able to appreciate fish dishes with a unique and very particular flavour. Among all, the "spaghetti with sea buckthorn"... you absolutely must try! All this, accompanied by the professionalism, courtesy and kindness of the owners and staff. We will definitely be back.
