Not the kindest owner towards solo travelling women, he is kind of grumpy. Cassatella a bit expensive at 5 euros. I was there off season, in October, it may be very busy in summer

Excellent almond granita. It deserves a 10. You can immediately tell it's made with whole almond flour, not syrup. The sugar dosage is perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness without overdoing it. Recommended for a granita, but be careful not to rotate the table, or you'll piss off the waiter!

We went to this bar to try the cannoli. They were superb, so much so that we took them back to Naples. Excellent service. The staff was kind, polite, and knowledgeable. See you next time.

02/10/2025: This seafood restaurant in the center of Portopalo is located in a pedestrian area where vehicles are prohibited. The location is a bit spartan, but the ingredients are top-quality, with well-prepared, flavorful seafood dishes and attentive, friendly service. It's a shame there's no traditional Sicilian dessert menu, but I'd definitely recommend it for family or couples dinners.
13/09/2025: We had calamarata with shrimp, which was good and plentiful, but nothing exceptional. The service was friendly. The quality/price ratio was average.

15/01/2026: I've been coming to this restaurant for years when I'm in Sicily. The atmosphere is quaint, and the dishes are unique and full of local flavors.
11/01/2026: An unexpected place, very quiet (in winter). Very friendly staff, quick wait times. Surprising quality. I recommend ordering the catch of the day directly from the staff. The portions are generous, so share and you'll be able to eat different things.
