A business lunch on a hot summer day, but the location refreshed both body and soul. A quaint place, very reminiscent of a mountain hut. Excellent service, and the wild boar-filled cappellacci and the beef fillet with porcini mushrooms were excellent. Recommended.

Fast service, excellent ingredients, fair prices. We visited this restaurant on the summit of Mount Amiata last Sunday. We ate well, and didn't feel heavy afterward, a sign of the quality of the olive oil and ingredients. We especially recommend the grilled veal steak, a delicacy preferable to the Florentine steak when cooked with such mastery. The Brunello di Montalcino, offered at a price per glass, was also very well received. In short, if you want to spend a summer day in the cool of the beech forest in a typical Tuscan mountain restaurant, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!

While walking through the woods, we reached the top of the mountain and discovered this restaurant. Intrigued by the menu, we went in. The place is well-kept and clean, and the staff was friendly. We started with a delicious appetizer of local cured meats and pickled vegetables. The mushroom tart with pecorino fondue was truly delicious, absolutely mouth-watering. We chose to continue with the first courses, ordering a portion of pici with ragù—the sauce was excellent and the pasta was cooked just right—and a portion of pappardelle with wild boar ragù and salted ricotta...unfortunately, we stopped here, as the only flavor we could taste was the rosemary; the plate was full of it, and unfortunately, it drowned out the entire flavor. If it weren't for that small inconvenience, lunch would have been perfect. We finished with a nice vin santo and excellent tozzetti.
