I stayed in this hotel for two nights in an economy room. Cozy hotel with a lobby with fireplace, clean and tidy. The economy room is basic in terms of furnishings and bathroom but with everything you need for two nights. Average breakfast, friendly owner. Excellent location to reach the center of Volterra on foot without moving the car.

Nice hotel, a little old fashioned, but for a stopover in Volterra it's more than fine.

During the month of August, I stayed in this hotel with my family to explore Volterra and its surroundings. The location of the hotel is excellent: close to the historic center, reachable with a short walk, but far enough away from the confusion, with a splendid view of the valley. The structure, created from an ancient farmhouse, still retains its original architecture. Breakfast is served in rooms converted from the old stable, adding a touch of authenticity. The swimming pool and the small grove offer a pleasant relief from the summer heat, even if the area is quite windy. The rooms, although a little dated, are functional. Some have a balcony overlooking the pool, others, located on the ground floor with dedicated access, are ideal for families with children. The restaurant also offers half board options; the service is good, although it can be a little slow at busy times. A negative aspect is the lack of dedicated parking for guests, although it is possible to find a place nearby, which can be inconvenient in August. The owners were very kind and always ready to offer useful advice for every need.

5 stars also for the cuisine, service etc.. Found by chance, lovely people, clean location, very close and convenient to the center of Volterra. Very welcoming pool area. Highly recommended!

Historic location, very nice restaurant and good quality of food! Swimming pool and well-kept garden, the only flaw is the rooms (especially the bathroom) not up to the level of the location
