A blend of flavors and cuisines combined with absolute mastery and awareness. The owners are welcoming and happy to guide you through a variety of cuisines, from Sicily to Venice with Asian influences. Recommended, recommended, recommended!

Driven by the desire to eat out, I decided to try this restaurant recommended by some friends. The welcome was excellent, and they asked us if we preferred to eat inside the private courtyard or overlooking the city's typical alleys. After we sat down in the internal garden, the head waiter listed the off-menu items, and given our hesitation, we trusted the local know-how. The dinner proved excellent, featuring fish and reinterpretations of classic Venetian dishes. I must say it was a succession of flavors I hadn't tasted in Venice in a long time. Without further ado, the food was excellent, the wine paired perfectly, and the staff were friendly. Da Veneziano will remain a point of reference in the city. Thank you for the evening.

The small restaurant Al Vecio Portal is located near the end of Riva degli Schiavoni in a side street. Getting there is easy and discovering it is a pleasure. The restaurant is family-run, a rare quality these days among Venetian restaurants, which are mostly branches of international chains. Al Vecio Portal is a small restaurant that has retained its identity. The welcome is familiar, with just the right amount of friendliness from the owners, never intrusive and very polite. The menu offers traditional Venetian cuisine with a few national dishes. A menu that expresses the owners' love for simple, authentic cuisine. Here at Al Vecio Portal, everything is delicious; trust the chef and you will be completely satisfied. The wine list features many fine labels. The homemade desserts are fabulous. The prices are very fair for a place in the center of Venice.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and we booked about 6-8 weeks ahead for dinner for our first night in Venice. It was by far the best restaurant we ate at during our 4 days in Venice. They offer outdoor seating but I preferred the warmth and atmosphere of the indoor area. If you do eat outside, be sure to check out the wall of bottle openers! The food was incredible from start to finish. The wine was phenomenal as was the presentation when we were served our chosen bottle of red wine for the initial tasting. Ended with grappa to aid our digestion which hit the spot! It is right off the main area tucked away so it is not as busy with tourists. If you are looking for traditional Italian cuisine in a quieter area with great service, you will not be disappointed.

Las opciones de comida eran excelentes, y el camarero nos ayudó en inglés muy comprensible con recomendaciones de cena y selecciones. Después de asistir a un partido de fútbol en Venecia había ido al Vecchio Portal para una comida rápida de pescado con mis amigos. El restaurante local nos cuidó bien con pescado sencillo preparado con buen gusto.
