Good fregola with fish! Even the house wine, with which we dined, was not bad and the prices were acceptable.

A very nice owner who speaks English, friendly service and delicious food, including pizza. They have been running the place since 1981. I really felt at home there.

Nice place in the historic center of Alghero.
We ate an appetizer and a first course. The seafood fregula was very good, although we would have preferred a few more minutes of cooking. Despite the winter period the place was almost full, thus justifying the positive reviews. Given the good looks, next time we will try the pizza.
A round of applause to the waiters and the owner and, obviously, compliments to the chefs.

The owner, Assunta, and her daughter are very nice, as are all the staff. The environment is very nice, even if it is a little hot in summer. The restaurant menu is certainly to be appreciated both for its seafood dishes and if you want to stay on land. Also famous as a pizzeria, it also offers multigrain and wholemeal dough, but they have never found my favor in terms of preparation or cooking. The wine list is not very extensive, but we are working on it...

Given the positive reviews, we expected something better. For our first courses in both cases the pasta was half raw, but we were hungry and couldn't delay (at least they were fast!)
Generous portions, but at the expense of the sauce: the tomato puree seemed really cheap and the spaghetti with clams had more shells than clams... they had a substrate of oil on the bottom, with the result that the pasta was all sticky in the middle, while underneath it was soupy.
Speaking of the environment: too many tables in such a small environment (there were other free tables in the various "rooms" and they could have distributed the customers much better, without crowding more than 20 people together and forcing some of them to not even be able to choose a chair where to sit so as not to annoy the neighbor at the table)! With such a low ceiling and only one mini window at the end, so many people in the same room, it feels more like being closed in a tunnel than a mill and you feel claustrophobic! At least they could avoid putting blinding white lights as lighting. The impression we had is that they keep the best tables for a certain clientele, who are more reserved and comfortable.
High price for the level of the dishes. Nice staff, but we won't be returning.

Locale tradizionale, gestito con cura. Ci siamo lasciati guidare dalla titolare nella scelta dei piatti e abbiamo fatto bingo! Piatti genuini, curati e buonissimi. Tutto super dagli antipasti al dolce. Consigliato!
