Al Vecchio Mulino In

For years, my partner, my son, and I have been lovingly going to Al Vecchio Mulino, and we highly recommend it! The fried calamari is second to none, as are many other dishes, always fresh and flavorful. During high season (when we can go!), it's advisable to book because, given the exceptional quality, the restaurant is always deservedly packed! The prices are fair! It's located in the heart of Alghero's charming historic center, so parking isn't very close; you have to walk a short distance to get there. The staff is friendly and helpful! Excellent restaurant, which I recommend making a reservation because the line is endless. We had two first courses and a second course, all very good, and they're happy to make small changes for those with intolerances. Perfect service, friendly and polite waiters. 4 stars for the location, but only because it's a bit cramped. Highly recommended. Just one tip: a dessert for those with lactose intolerance would be appreciated.

A gluten-free pizza that's always better! Marzia's kindness and customer service are exceptional. The first and second courses are also excellent.

The food was excellent and the service was great, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. Dress up sparingly as they temperature is quite high in there.

A must-see restaurant in Alghero that serves typical food in a traditional atmosphere. I recommend it 100%! (It's best to book in advance as the establishment is a victim of its own success)

A pleasant meal, but nothing special. Having been unable to reach the restaurant to make a reservation by phone, we arrived at 6:50 pm to see if it was possible to dine in. We were offered dinner immediately or to return at 9:30 pm. So, we agreed to dine immediately. The service was fast, but we felt a little uncomfortable (the staff seemed in a hurry to free up the table for new customers). We opted for culurgiones, malorredus, and a pizza. Everything was very good, but the culurgiones dish wasn't very filling. The prices are really affordable... but you have to add the "pane e coperto" of €8 for 4 people (over 10% of the bill) for the bread/pecorino and service, which seemed excessive to us.

A typical local restaurant, it opens at 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. It's full, so it's best to book in advance. The spaghetti at Al Vecchio Mulino is delicious. The service is fast, as the restaurant fills up quickly. I recommend it.

The food was very good. The elderly gentleman who served us was unfortunately not very friendly, hence only 4 stars.

A very popular restaurant. Booking essential. We booked late and had a table in a small room next to the bar. It was okay. Service was friendly and efficient. We had the pulpo with celery for starters (good but not exceptional) and the fried sardines which were great! The tagliata di manzo for mains was very good. Overall a very good restaurant but we did feel more like a number than a valued customer..

Comimos aquí 2 de nuestras 3 noches en Alghero, ya que nos encantó la comida, el ambiente y el personal encantador. Los precios eran baratos también, así que era la mezcla perfecta! La primera noche probamos el jamón Melon & Parma, pizzas, tiramisú y vino blanco local a 13€ el litro! Segunda visita elegimos el mismo vino! , lasaña & pasta con jamón, tomate & seta seguido de un desierto de Cerdeña con queso & miel. Cada pieza de comida que probamos era absolutamente delicioso. Ambas comidas eran de alrededor de € 50 - 60 para 2 de nosotros. A pesar de que nuestro italiano era pobre el personal logró tratarnos tan bien y fue muy acogedor. Es un lugar muy muy concurrido, así que reserve o venga a las 6. 30 pm cuando se abre para conseguir una mesa. Solo está abierto por la noche y no tiene reserva en línea, por lo que es difícil reservar como visitante.
