Al Vecchio Mulino In

A bit at the back of Alghero (the old part), a beautiful hidden gem. It was busy, but luckily we were able to stay with 2 people. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the warm, brightly lit room. Good pizzas and excellent dishes. The Rosati also tasted good. Unfortunately, the Tiramisu was gone when we wanted to order it. But we will definitely do it next time.

Fairly mediocre restaurant in very nice and old premises. We had expectations since it had been recommended to us by some Norwegian friends. First of all, for me it is a mystery that so many restaurants in Italy choose to have powerful blue-white LED bulbs in their lamps even though you are sitting in a cozy "cave" that could have given a romantic atmosphere. Here I felt like sitting with sunglasses long after sunset. Not sure why this restaurant is so popular, other than that there was a majority of tourists here. The most exciting thing here was the fine ancient premises. The food did not particularly impress. Here you only get one type of wine if you want a glass and not a whole bottle. The wine was not expensive, but still not worth the price. We chose a warm sheep's cheese from the oven for starters. Good, but the bread that came with it was "bag bread". The tomato salad was simply two cheap and cold sliced ​​tomatoes. The pizza, which is supposed to be their specialty and cooked in a wood-fired oven, was good. The base was almost perfect, but the white sauce was tasteless, and the burrata on top was fridge cold. The service was impersonal but efficient. All in all, a rather mediocre meal in nice premises, and in an otherwise very charming and worth-seeing old part of town.

The best restaurant in Alghero. There I ate the best and also the cheapest pizza of my entire stay in Sardinia and Rome. The only unpleasant thing was the wait for a table. I don't stand in line at a restaurant, but since I wasn't alone I had to stand.

I RECOMMEND!!! I have visited many restaurants, but this one totally stole my heart. The food is delicious. The waiters and the restaurant itself are at the highest level. It is worth booking a table before visiting the restaurant because it is crowded. I highly recommend the great atmosphere. High class waiters.

One of the nicest restaurants in Alghero. Accommodated our group of 6 with such friendliness (we had not booked). The food was AMAZING! We had a mixture of pasta, pizza and fish, and everything we received was delicious. We loved it so much we booked it for a few days later even though we originally had other plans. The food and service was just as nice the second time we went (within the same week). The food is so fresh. The sardinian pasta with wild boar ragu was the best thing I had ever eaten. We all especially loved the woman who seemed to be the mother/grandmother/owner of the place. She was so efficient and they way she cleaned the fish was fascinating to watch. We can't wait to come back to Alghero to eat at this restaurant.

Ero già stata in questo ristorante già lo scorso anno, è proprio vero che si torna sempre dove si è stati bene! Ottimo cibo, porzioni abbondanti, staff gentilissimo e materie prime di qualità!
