Historic Gallico restaurant, clean but a bit dated, good food and delicious pizza, very friendly, courteous, and professional staff, owner ready to satisfy every need, and average prices.

Delicious seafood dishes. Mixed seafood. Above all, spaghetti or seafood gnocchi, grouper ravioli in shrimp sauce, fried shrimp and calamari, and a mixed antipasto. Delicious Neapolitan pizza. Recommended.

We had dinner here for the first time. The food was excellent, and Maria looked after us throughout the meal with professionalism and kindness. We truly had a wonderful evening.

Da Mimmo has always been an institution. We've been there several times and hadn't been back in a while, but honestly, last night we were a little disappointed. We brought a couple of friends who had never been before, and they accepted our offer to try this place, assuring them they'd eat the best pizza in Reggio Calabria and the surrounding province. However, the pizzas, which I remembered as excellent, were quite burnt this time and left a bitter taste in the mouth due to the carbon present both on the crust and underneath the pizza. This was pointed out to the waitress, who, poor thing, apologized and replied that they'd had a problem and had come out a little overcooked than usual. After all, she couldn't have said otherwise given the evidence. Furthermore, a €100 bill for two portions of fries and sausage, four pizzas, water, a Coke, two beers, and two licorice sticks seemed a bit excessive for four people. I understand the quality of the ingredients and the increase in management and raw material costs, but we also have to take into account the general increases and average salaries we have in the South, and these prices honestly don't help people eat out more often. In fact, if a family used to eat out on average once a week, I've now seen them go once or twice a month at best. I repeat, Da Mimmo is a Reggio Calabria institution, and this review certainly won't tarnish the success and history of this place. However, we felt it was right to share this experience, hoping the owners will take it in stride and try to improve the negatives just described. Despite everything, we'll be back, hoping the pizza will be as good as it once was.
