I visited Vecchio Carlino during a weekend in Florence and fell in love with it. The atmosphere is authentic and welcoming, with a touch of Tuscan tradition that makes you feel instantly at home. The staff is incredibly kind and always ready to recommend the perfect dish or a good local wine.
The food is simply fantastic: I tried the Florentine steak, cooked to perfection, and the pici with ragù—truly unforgettable! The desserts also deserve a special mention, especially the house tiramisu.
Excellent value and a true Tuscan culinary experience.

Excellent service, super friendly waiters (one of whom spoke Spanish very well), and short wait times between ordering and being served.
I went with my partner without a reservation on a Friday night, and even though it was busy, they still had tables available.
The food was very good; the risotto was delicious, as was the truffle carbonara. Since we were hungry (but not too hungry), we ordered a margherita pizza for both of us, which was immediately brought to our table, also very good 👌🏻
The restaurant is just a few minutes' walk from the train station (about 15 minutes).
I would go again 😉

We met them while passing through Florence thanks to Thefork. We had a great experience and ate well. The staff were attentive and kind, even though it was Saturday night.

It's like entering a house... with a courtyard, furnished with paintings and sideboards.

I had dinner at this restaurant, which was beautiful and welcoming. The quality of the ingredients was good, but the only flaw was the enormous amount of garlic. They applied a The Fork booking discount. Thank you.

First time at this restaurant, near Porta al Prato. The outside isn't very appealing, but inside it's actually quite large and well-decorated. I'm obsessed with The Fork.
Friendly staff, generous portions, and good food, especially the spaghetti alla chitarra. The porchetta, a little less so: soft and too greasy.
The chicken nuggets are also excellent. I'll definitely be back.
