Finding this place in Sassari was a real find! Every dish we ordered was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The atmosphere is very quaint and welcoming. The dishes take a little while to arrive, but you can tell they're freshly made. A 10 out of 10 for the chef and the waitresses! 100% recommended if you're in Sassari

A truly perfect restaurant visit! The ingredients were exceptionally fresh and the dishes were superbly prepared. The service was attentive, friendly, and very welcoming; you feel at home from the very first moment. While the prices are a bit higher, the quality and the entire experience are truly worth every penny. We will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

If you're in Sassari and want to enjoy delicious, fresh fish and seafood in a friendly atmosphere, you absolutely must visit Al Vecchio Borgo. They really do a great job here! The menu is short, but what we chose today was fantastic. It's worth trying all the appetizers (you can choose from four) and simply sharing them. The main courses are amazing. The service is very friendly and helpful, and they speak English. The chef comes to greet guests, which is a nice touch. The wait for both appetizers and main courses is really short. I highly recommend it, and thank you for dinner tonight. Grazie mille!

Quiet place, few but very good dishes, and very friendly staff

The fregola was excellent, the starters tasty and the owners and staff were very kind, we had a great time.

The restaurant offers a limited selection of food, but the quality is excellent. Dishes are served with great care and the food is fresh.

I stopped by for dinner because I was staying nearby. The upstairs dining room is small and cozy. The young woman who welcomed us, however, was less cheerful and a bit stiff about some of her movements. As soon as we entered, there was some fish on display, covered with a cloth that was removed when we entered. When we saw the menu, which was modest and different from what we'd seen online, she replied snidely that "we always change it." No potatoes or side dishes of that sort. So, very limited choice. Despite this, we ate very well, and the chef came into the dining room to say hello. This was greatly appreciated.

The owner and waitress are kind and welcoming, although the waitress, who mostly stayed behind me, between my table and the kitchen, was a bit intimidating. That said, the ingredients are very fresh, but the fried foods leave much to be desired; they were unpleasant. I'm particularly interested in the calamari and cod fritters, €15 for six fritters with a sauce that somewhat covered the flavor, and unfortunately, I have to say the frying technique needs some work, especially since we got a stomach ache. The sweet and sour mussels had a sauce that overpowered the flavor of the mussels. The seafood tagliolini was a bit salty, the shrimp were very good, but €26 for a fried dish without the fish is excessive, as is the bill for the quality of the food.
