Al leone In Collazzone

They took me there in August 2024, against my will. THANK GOD! Apart from being one of the places furthest from the sea (if you look at the map, with a protractor, not even Vipiteno is that far from a bathing shore) in Italy, the place, the service, the quality of the products, but above all the service, the service, but above all the service was wonderful even with a pain in the ass like me who found himself there against his will. I will return only because I am indebted to the wonderful guys who treated me to dinner. Also for the product, obviously.

We had a very nice meal. The service was great and the portion sizes were very generous. Definitely book in advance. Would highly recommend and would definitely return next time we are in Collazone.

Ristorante situato in un piccolo paesino di campagna, molto semplice e rustico. Il servizio è ottimo, sono tutti molto gentili. Il menù propone pizze e piatti principalmente di carne. Ciò che abbiamo preso ci è piaciuto molto, porzioni abbondanti e sapori rustici e tradizionali. I prezzi sono tendenzialmente nella media. Spesa: 1 antipasto + 1 primo + 1 secondo + 1 contorno + 2 calici vino + 1 acqua + 2 caffè = 68€.

Good food and welcoming staff, but I didn't like one thing, when dishes with truffles are offered there must be truffles and not sauces or flavored oils, otherwise it would be correct to specify it

Almost afraid to call late one evening to try to have dinner, we were immediately enticed by the friendliness on the phone in accepting the reservation, as soon as we arrived the place was objectively full and we were ready to wait patiently for a slightly slower service, and instead this too surprised us, in addition to the friendliness and warmth of all the staff, on the first evening we chose a tagliatella with truffles, a cacio e pepe as first courses, and a grilled rib eye and courgette flowers for second courses, even though we were satisfied, however, we were tempted by the desserts, panna cotta and meringue semifreddo... the epilogue is that during our week-long stay nearby, we returned to this place 5 times, one of these for mid-August lunch, preferring their cuisine to the cuisine of the four-star relais where we stayed, a simple but satisfying cuisine in its simplicity, the friendliness, friendliness and kindness of all the staff, especially the owner (I think) and Mrs Roberta, then added that extra something that makes you feel good in a place... in the following times we practically tested almost the entire menu including pizza and they never missed a beat, not only recommended but over-tested and approved!!!

I decided to have dinner there, based on the good reviews. The place was pretty packed for a Monday night, but I had a reservation. Waitress was affable and quick, so the service was, all in all, good. Unfortunately, the food was not on par. You would expect to have the best tagliatelle with black truffle, but that was not the case. The truffle was almost undetectable, and the tagliatelle pasta mediocre. Other dishes were just acceptable. I was expecting our server to ask the reason for the two tagliatelle plate left almost untouched, but she didn't. The place is nice, but I doubt I'll be back.
