We ended up here by chance the first time, but when we wanted to pick our favorite restaurant in Rome to return to, there was no debate. Al Grammelot is lovely in every detail: Maria suggested spectacular wines to go with each of our meals, which were themselves some of the best food we had in the city. And such an intimate little setting!

We had wine and desert. Both fantastic but but staff were super!! Update…this place is so good we ate here two more times in our 5 day visit. Staff is incredible, meatballs are amazing and the lasagna is also amazing.

Very friendly, exceptional service and a fantastic selection of local Italian wines. Maria Jose treated us very well and many locals treat this restaurant as their local.

You feel good, you eat well, you drink well, without necessarily "fainting". I love it because it makes you forget about living in a stressed and stressful city; for care even in simple things; because there is always a wine on your plate that's right for you.
