Eating on a terrace with a view of wonderful gardens, excellent service, and the entire staff was extremely friendly. It was truly an extraordinary experience. We ordered gnocchi, Milanese, angelotto, and tagliatelle, all delicious, as was the bread basket.

We were there a few days ago. The location is stunning, both for the garden and the hotel-side entrance. The friendly service is perfect for those who appreciate attentive service. They even seat you with the person who sets your chair. If your glass is empty, the waiter will come promptly. The pizza is good, but not the best I've had. The dough is easy to digest, and the ingredients deserve a 4 out of 5, so it gets a thumbs up. The desserts also get a thumbs up. The price is obviously higher than average, but it's justified by one of Florence's most prestigious locations.

Excellent restaurant in a beautiful and peaceful location. The price is a bit high, but for one pizza 🍕 it's still acceptable. Best pizza of my life 😍.

04/01/2026: The atmosphere is now a bit dated, served by a silent young man who doesn't even look up. I pay €7 for a Spritz, more expensive than in places in the historic center that are completely different! It's served without any accompaniment, so I ask for at least some peanuts or chips, which land on the counter (my table was a meter away, but the waiter thought it best not to go that extra step...) after being served in bowls with bare hands, the same hands that had handled the money... they need to improve. If I'd paid €5 for the Spritz, I wouldn't have written this review, but when you ask for a higher price, you also have to provide better service.

The Commons Restaurant

17/03/2026: I don't know what the rooms are like, but overall, I don't find the facade or interior design particularly interesting or "nice." It seems like it's not a suitable place for those with walking or mobility issues: stairs everywhere. Unfortunately, the noise from the loud music and people shouting over it from the Menchetti bar on the ground floor permeates every other area on the ground floor, making your stay chaotic. If you're not a hotel guest, you won't be able to access the top floor and/or the pool before 5:00 PM.
15/03/2026: The Social Hub is owned by a Dutch company that operates similar facilities throughout Italy. The atmosphere is very diverse, as it functions both as a traditional hotel and a student hostel. The rooms are a bit basic, but comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is plentiful. The location is excellent, close to the historic center, near the Santa Maria Novella train station, and easily accessible by car. It has a panoramic terrace, with a bar and a small pool (only available in the summer), which offers a priceless view of the Duomo and the entire city center.
