Al Cardellino In Bardolino

Very good! The homemade pasta is great, meat too. Great ambience. But: 15 € for pasta with butter for children is steep!

Review relating exclusively to the restaurant. First impression not the best: a bit trendy place, cool background music, many covers and menu with too many dishes. But I must admit that I had an excellent dinner: tasty potato gnocchi with fondue, delicious and not at all heavy fried snails with truffle sauce, delicious side dishes (baked potatoes, artichokes). The second courses are probably the strongest dishes: I really appreciated the grilled deer with polenta but the sea bass fillet was also delicious, just to say that there is no shortage of fish dishes either! The dessert is also very good (I tried the puff pastry) but it is difficult to get there because the dishes are all really generous in quantity (positive in this sense that for many courses there is the possibility of ordering... half a dose!). The wine list is also valid with various prices but in many cases more than accessible. In short, don't be fooled: it might seem like a place that is all appearance and little substance but in reality the opposite is true!

The staff is also very kind and friendly and always ready for perfect service. The location is very beautiful and characteristic. If you are in the Bardolino area, stop by because you can eat divinely and spend the right amount

Really excellent quality restaurant. With attentive and professional but pleasant service. Non invasive. Excellent variety of meat and cheese dishes. Wine list or rather wine book. The only flaw is the narrow spaces between the tables.

When I take a trip to Bardolino I cannot give up the Cardellino restaurant, excellent quality food from starters to desserts, very professional and knowledgeable staff, I highly recommend it to everyone

Atmosfera rilassata ma elegante, ambiente caldo ed accogliente, preparazioni fatte in casa e materie prime di eccellenza. Servizio professionale e cordiale, cantina fornitissima. Qualsiasi scelta del menù sarà azzeccata e gratificante. Una esperienza enogastronomica da non perdere.

Das Lokal befindet sich etwas entfernt vom Zentrum und See, deshalb kam es in unsere engere Wahl. Die Parkplätze waren bei unserer Ankunft schon belegt, aber direkt an der Straße war noch Platz. Als wir das Lokal gegen 20 Uhr betraten, traf uns der Schlag. Es war quasi bis auf den letzten Platz belegt. Gefühlt mindestens 100 Gäste. Wow, das hatten wir nicht erwartet. Die großen Tische waren abgetrennt, so dass an einem Tisch für sechs Personen jeweils zwei Pärchen platziert werden konnten. In unserem Fall war es sogar ein achter Tisch für zwei Paare. Auf dem Tisch lagen schon die Karten in deutscher Sprache sowie ein gut gefüllter Brotkorb, dessen oberste Scheibe schon angetrocknet war. Es gibt Glasweise Prosecco und Wein aus wenigen offenen Flaschen. Ich entschied mich als Start für eine 1/2 Portion Rindercarpaccio mit Pistazien, Gorgonzola Mousse und Süßkartoffelchips zu 10 Euro. Die Portion war sehr üppig und ich war froh, nur die kleine Variante gewählt zu haben. Das Fleisch war butterzart und üppig mit Pistazien bestreut. Das Mousse war nicht nach meinem Geschmack. Danach hatte ich von der Tageskarte die mit Käse überbackenen Pilze (16 Euro) gewählt. Leider handelte es sich nur um Pfifferlinge mit etwas Käse, welche direkt auf dem servierten Teller gratiniert wurden. Einige wenige Tomaten und Kräuter waren auch vertreten. Auch diese Portion war groß. Als dritten Gang hatte ich die 1/2 Portion Nudeln mit schwarzem Trüffel für 10 Euro gewählt. Die breiten Bandnudeln waren bissfest und mit Trüffel in Streifen bedeckt. Etwas Parmesan und wenig cremige Soße rundeten das Gericht ab. Insgesamt war ich mit meiner Auswahl zufrieden. Als Coperto werden 3 Euro verrechnet. Die Hektik und das scheinbar komplett auf Touristen ausgelegte Lokal schreckten mich eher ab. Es gab nur sehr wenige italienische Gäste. Wir waren froh, einen Tisch am Rand bekommen zu haben. Für einen romantischen Abend ist das Lokal definitiv nicht geeignet. Eigentlich 3,5 Sterne, aber ich runde aufgrund der Größe und fehlender Intimität ab.
