Al Capitel In Bardolino

A tip from a connoisseur. Barely noticeable from the outside. Top-notch Italian cuisine. Except for the typical pizza and pasta. Everything was delicious. We were a large group, and all the food arrived at the same time and piping hot. 5 stars are more than deserved.

We spent a lovely evening here. The terrace/beer garden of "Al Capitel" is beautifully decorated in a vintage style. You can also sit inside. The food was delicious; I highly recommend the truffle pasta and the shrimp pasta. The owner, a truly lovely woman, chatted with many of the guests; many seem to have been coming here regularly and for years. Parking was still available in front of the door, but it was difficult to find parking when the restaurant was full.

We've been coming to Bardolino for almost 30 years and only now discovered this osteria. Due to its location on the main street and its unassuming exterior, we (the family) had never noticed it before. Thanks to Google Maps, we stumbled upon it. Parking is right next to the house. Unfortunately, the street is too. We entered a rustic and lovingly designed courtyard and immediately felt at home. The host family looked after us professionally and charmingly. All the dishes were of excellent quality and freshly prepared. The beef tartare and the vitello were excellent. We were thrilled with the four different pasta dishes for the main course. The wine selection was limited but sufficient. All prices were reasonable and fair. We drank a rosé (picture attached), which paired perfectly with the food. We would like to thank you for the lovely evening and will definitely come back.

Osteria al Capitel is a fantastic little restaurant. The chef conjures up excellent Italian dishes. Since there were six of us, we were able to sample the entire menu over two days. We loved everything. For example, the maccheroncini Amatriciana and the house-smoked hot trout are fantastic! Unfortunately, we only discovered the restaurant on the second-to-last day, as we would certainly have come here for dinner more often during the week. One can only hope that the lease will be renewed in two years. Such excellent work in the kitchen and in the service is important for the entire region.

An excellent restaurant with a charming ambiance. The team at Al Capitel deserves nothing but praise. The food was outstanding and cooked to perfection. We would come back again and again, but unfortunately we only had the chance to go twice this week (unfortunately). Best regards M. Graf

Piccola Osteria davvero unica. Una collezione di Moke su di una trave, antiche serrature, chiavi, valigie e altri attrezzi come bilance e macchine da cucire accompagnano un ricco menu dal quale ho tratto fettuccine al ragù d’anatra. Dentro scorzette d’arancio a espandere il loro gusto al tutto. Mio fratello con una classica cotolette e patatine è rimasto altrettanto soddisfatto. Andateci, sarà un’esperienza oltre che un pranzo. Se amate il vintage, soprattutto. E il buon cibo, ovviamente

Locale casalingo ed accogliente dove padre madre e figlio gestiscono molto bene l’attività di ristorazione. Menù limitato ma fatto tutto di piatti ottimi, lista vini corta ma studiata e dai prezzi giusti. Da premiare!
