Al Caminetto is not a restaurant, it's an experience...of taste, of courteous service, something that cannot be described or written in a few lines, you simply have to try it, this is the advice I give to everyone, TRY IT.

We were recommended to Al Caminetto by our family and also the concierge at the Mare Pineta resort. So we expected the food to be very good, but we were not expecting what amounted to a banquet of excellent dishes. The decor is sophisticated and very tasteful. We started with the free amuse bouche which was a lovely seafood soup. I’m allergic to shellfish so they kindly provided me with delicious baked olives. Two of us had the wonderful veal escalope , commenting it’s the best they’ve ever had, a child’s pizza and my sole cooked in butter was perfect. All this was served with great panache by the excellent waiters and waitresses. There was then another free pre-desert dish of mango sorbet which was also scrumptious. The selection from the desert trolley was equally impressive with tiramisu, crème brûlée plus fruits. Unexpectedly this was followed by unexpected plate full of fresh fruits plus delicious rum baba and mini pastries. The owner then kindly came to our table and we were able to comment on what a wonderful meal we had received and congratulated her on how we were provided with such a wonderful gastronomic experience. We will definitely return again before the end of our holiday.

A €5 cover charge is too low, as it includes a fried shrimp and a Hugo as a welcome aperitif, a glass of fruit at the end of the meal, and a mini dessert to finish. The rest of the evening is a feast for the eyes: a warm '70s-'80s Italian atmosphere accompanies you through the delicious dishes, all the way to the dessert trolley.
