An Art Nouveau hotel that's truly a gem in an enchanting location. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful room with period furnishings. Every detail is meticulously maintained. They even serve a delicious liqueur/elixir. It has a terrace with a fantastic view of Lake Varese. Excellent breakfast (even tiramisu and cheesecake on Sundays!). It's located in the small hamlet of "Santa Maria" del Sacro Monte di Varese. A five-minute walk takes you to the splendid Baroque Basilica and the chapels. It's also a 20-minute drive from the Astronomical Observatory, where you can book a visit and view stars and planets through a telescope. The hotel has private parking nearby, but it's small and hard to find. It's best to ask for directions before arriving. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights this September. Actually, only because we have a young dog, and the hotel was advertised as "pet-friendly." What can I say? It was simply fantastic. We were able to move to a different room on the day of arrival, which we had wanted to change because of the dog. The entire staff is super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is simple but delicious, and the dinner is excellent. The whole ambiance is simply a dream! We can 100% recommend this hotel. Our vacation there was a dream. Thank you so much, dear team at Al Borducan!

Stunning views and very helpful staff. The person in charge of cleaning our room was very attentive! My shirt was put on a hanger, the dirty laundry was collected in a small bag... Thank you so much for this stay!

Delightful. Decidedly out of the way of the city, but very unique and away from the chaos. The parking lot is on a small dirt road and inevitably cramped: from there to the hotel there are a few dozen meters, so it's best to avoid heavy suitcases. The building, on the other hand, is a gem, perfectly maintained. The room is spacious, furnished with simplicity and taste. The bathroom, or rather the fixtures, are more complicated: 'thin' to say the least. The restaurant overlooking the valley is tempting: personally, I was unlucky with the limited availability of dishes and desserts. I'm relaxed, with a full breakfast.

Quaint hotel with magnificent views from the main hall or rooms. Quality service. Difficult parking for low-rise vehicles.
