Al Borducan In Varese

We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights this September. Actually, only because we have a young dog, and the hotel was advertised as "pet-friendly." What can I say? It was simply fantastic. We were able to move to a different room on the day of arrival, which we had wanted to change because of the dog. The entire staff is super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is simple but delicious, and the dinner is excellent. The whole ambiance is simply a dream! We can 100% recommend this hotel. Our vacation there was a dream. Thank you so much, dear team at Al Borducan!

Stunning views and very helpful staff. The person in charge of cleaning our room was very attentive! My shirt was put on a hanger, the dirty laundry was collected in a small bag... Thank you so much for this stay!

Delightful. Decidedly out of the way of the city, but very unique and away from the chaos. The parking lot is on a small dirt road and inevitably cramped: from there to the hotel there are a few dozen meters, so it's best to avoid heavy suitcases. The building, on the other hand, is a gem, perfectly maintained. The room is spacious, furnished with simplicity and taste. The bathroom, or rather the fixtures, are more complicated: 'thin' to say the least. The restaurant overlooking the valley is tempting: personally, I was unlucky with the limited availability of dishes and desserts. I'm relaxed, with a full breakfast.

Quaint hotel with magnificent views from the main hall or rooms. Quality service. Difficult parking for low-rise vehicles.

Booked last minute...despite last week's fire in the kitchen, everything was perfect, the charcuterie board was really large and delicious!!! The tagliolini with duck ragù was superb, as was the beef with mashed potatoes. Spectacular view!!!!! Average price Friendly and helpful staff!! We'll be back!

Aperitif, we're not there ... I should have given only one star, but since we had a simple aperitif and didn't use the hotel or restaurant, it didn't seem right to give it an extremely negative rating. The platter for two was actually 80% bread slices with chickpea cream and olive pâté, with just a tiny sampling of cured meats and cheeses. The cost of the ingredients didn't exceed 5-6 euros, and it sold for 34 euros. Focaccia for 9 euros with supermarket cooked ham and very salty bread (it even seemed reheated). We ate because we were hungry. I had a Bordeaux Spritz. Personally, I think it's an anonymous reinterpretation with a sweetish aftertaste that didn't go well with the aperitif (but these are subjective tastes). Afterwards, I had a classic Spritz, which was very poorly made. Tasteless, colorless, served in antique glassware. A charming location. the rooms will be beautiful and very clean, as will the restaurant which I will definitely try.... but the aperitif is absolutely not up to par, expensive and of low quality, it needs improvement!!
