Al Bocconcino In Forte dei marmi

Located in the heart of the Fort, this restaurant offers quick, simply prepared seafood dishes. Service is average but unprofessional. On a negative note, they don't serve coffee after the meal.

The best pizza & tiramisu 👌🏻 but the staff are rude

Just had our first ever week in Italy and found this reasonably priced restaurant in a high class resort where some food prices are ridiculously high. We had a couple of lovely meals there, friendly helpful staff and a great atmosphere when it is full. Around €70 for two mains and a good bottle of red.

I was here on May 11, 2025, and the restaurant is very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The portions were large and the food very good. The price is fair. There is a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. However, there is also a lot of room for improvement. I had to wait over two and a half hours for a table, so I strongly recommend booking well in advance. The restaurant is very crowded and noisy, especially during peak hours. The restaurant could use more frequent cleaning and perhaps an expansion.

A nice surprise when stopping by randomly. Large heated terrace in the evening. Impeccable service and good advice. The pizza is great with a thin crust and quality toppings. The seafood salad is excellent and generous. The beef carpaccio is just perfect. I recommend it 1000%. The prices are very affordable.

We went for a quick meal and one wine. The service was nice and fast. The food was fresh and good. I can recommend MARE CALDO.

I've always been coming to Bocconcino and only now realized I've never reviewed it😅 anyway, for me it's an excellent place to eat well in the heart of Forte dei Marmi without spending a fortune. They have a very extensive menu and I especially recommend the fish-based dishes (excellent and large portions) and also the pizza (it's very strange, unclassifiable, in the sense that you shouldn't expect Neapolitan pizza with a thick crust or even the low Roman one... I define it as a low crunchy pizza, very light and digestible, and the ingredients on top are the bomb!! I recommend the one with buffalo mozzarella and fresh cherry tomatoes!) However, the service is a bit of a lottery: sometimes they are quick, precise and kind... other times almost 'grumpy' and bring the dishes haphazardly, making some of the diners wait... once my mother waited 45 minutes for her pizza while ours was getting cold on the table amidst the various (hungry) reminders and questions about what had happened to that order, to which we were told: it's coming! 😅 but you know, we're in Tuscany and Tuscans are like that!! It's true, don't you dare ask for coffee because they don't have any and they'll tell you to go get it outside 😅 but there's an after-dinner drink... oh, the mystery! Anyway... highly recommended! And in the summer I recommend eating outside in the little square, beautiful!

Fried mixed fish is great, and pizza is awesome. Cant believe that the price is so cheap if compared to the restaurants nearby. It's definitely somewhere you need to try.
