Io ed il mio compagno siamo capitati quasi per caso in questo tipico ristorante toscano. Ci siamo sentiti immediatamente a nostro agio grazie all’accoglienza dei ragazzi, i quali sono stati estremamente professionali e cordiali. Ci hanno consigliato benissimo le pietanze da ordinare, e infatti siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Ottimi i formaggi, i crostoni e immancabile la Fiorentina. Un assaggio lo meritano anche i tortelli alla castagna, speciali. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo Un saluto e a presto dai ragazzi di Roma Nord

Il Barilotto is a true Amiata tavern, located in the ancient heart of Santa Fiora. Traditional recipes, well executed, without frills whatsoever. Pleasantly simple environment and welcoming staff help to create the right atmosphere. Honest prices. Definitely recommended address.

We came here this evening as tourists and immediately felt at home. Excellent food, fair price and top service. It's nice to see young guys like that.

On holiday for a few days to visit the area, we went to see the fishpond and after a walk through the alleys. I was comforted by the many positive reviews I found which perhaps had created high expectations. Let's say that I found these expectations quite unfulfilled in reality. The location is very simple, nothing exceptional like a trattoria but not too basic either. The service was quite fast and professional, perhaps with a little too much insistence. The food honestly didn't blow my mind. We took two mixed starters which were not bad but quite lackluster. Two portions of Pici al Barilotto, basically pici with a white Cinta Senese ragù, quite decent results but nothing special. Two desserts, a Portuguese latte which was nothing other than the famous Catalan cream resulting in the taste of too much egg and a portion of hazelnut, a sort of hazelnut tiramisu which was honestly the best thing eaten in the evening. All accompanied by half a liter of house red wine which I honestly didn't like at all as it had an acetate hint after 1 bottle of unmarked still water (sparkling was not available). All with an average bill (€57.50). What can I say, I honestly don't think I'll go back and I don't feel like recommending it. Very much to improve three stars for encouragement ***

Welcoming place, excellent cuisine, the owner and his staff very knowledgeable and professional. I recommend it, it is our favorite restaurant.

Yet another confirmation of the quality and tradition that this place offers. The food is always excellent, with generous portions and very high quality ingredients. The managers stand out for their attention and care towards the customer, making each visit a pleasant experience. Even though it was December 30th and there was an event in town, the place was crowded but perfectly managed, without ever creating chaos. A welcoming and well-organised environment. Highly recommended!

Locale molto caratteristico. Assolutamente da provare i pici all'agliona con peperoncino. Davvero buoni e porzioni abbondantissime! Purtroppo essendo andati in un weekend pieno, alcune cose erano finite. Personale molto amichevole! Rapporto qualità-prezzo ottimo!
