A magical place, with a warm welcome and helpful owners. Beautiful garden with children's playground and an indoor relaxation area with board games. Comfortable and clean rooms. And the food is delicious!! Excellent flavors, and meticulously presented. I highly recommend it.

A quaint location surrounded by greenery, equipped with a children's playground. The typical local dishes were simply fantastic! The best dish was the appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, truly amazing. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Rifugio Fornas is officially my new favorite place!

We ate at this farmhouse and we had a great time both for the quality of the food and also for the kindness of the staff, absolutely worth trying

Good refuge and restaurant in a pleasant location

.... I've been wanting to go up to Fornaz for a couple of years.... I'll definitely give it a fifth star when I have the chance to stay in your splendid paradise.... Today, after a nice scooter ride, we reached your splendid refuge.... we spent more than a couple of hours like GOD.... we drank a couple of very good beers.... then ate the fantastic tagliatelle with venison sauce and chanterelle mushrooms.... very good wine.... And we enjoyed... A stunning view, a lot of relaxation and compliments to you managers and collaborators for how you manage and take care of everything, you can see and feel that you put passion and dedication into what you do.... a truly beautiful refuge.... simple and welcoming.... We'll see you soon so we can stay and fully appreciate your paradise.... And I swear we didn't give Mia anything to eat... 😂😂😂

A heartfelt thank you to Anna and Umberto for their hospitality ❤️ We had a wonderful time. This is the perfect place for children, and also for parents who want to enjoy a relaxing aperitif. The refuge's interior is beautiful and welcoming. We didn't use it, but upstairs there's a large, quiet common area with tables and a children's play area. However, we recommend enjoying a few drinks after dinner in the restaurant on the ground floor. It's a great place for conversation, a family-friendly, relaxing atmosphere, and in the fall/winter, with the fireplace lit, it must be a sight to behold. The cuisine is a real highlight; I'd say it's the best I've ever had in Friuli (the cjarsons, ribs, and house-made smoked meats are delicious). We stayed here for nine nights with a two-month-old baby and had a wonderful time, with all the necessary amenities. We hope to return when she's old enough to enjoy the beautiful outdoor playground. I'd also like to add that the surrounding area offers lovely walks in the countryside, without even having to move the car.

A family-friendly refuge 😍, we had so much fun! My little girl played on the playground equipment outside, and even my big dog got to play with the shelter dog. The table service was truly excellent, and in addition to the standard menu, younger children can also request a simple pasta dish (e.g., tomato, ragù, etc.). The dishes we ordered were truly delicious: appetizers of cheese and cured meats were truly delicious, the Cjarsons were delicious, the eggplant caponata with toasted almonds was simple but had a truly delicious, bold flavor, and the grilled meat was also delicious. There are various hikes near the refuge, so for a day out, this is the perfect place ☺️

A truly magnificent place, with two very nice and friendly ladies. There were four of us, and we ate a lot and very well! We were all satisfied! We'll definitely be back, maybe even staying a night in one of their rooms. A big kiss to our dog Mia from us!
