A small restaurant serving Eritrean cuisine, with good, unique food. A very charming African-style atmosphere, and fast, friendly staff. The prices are reasonable considering the generous portions.

I have been to many eritruan and Ethiopian restaurants in europe but this restaurant made me feel like i am home . Every dish they serve tastes fresh and original . With a fair price . The interior design of the restaurant gives a pure african vibe . Filled with a welcoming environment and hospitality. 10 minutes away from the central train station makes it ideal for a short visit during transit . I highly recommend trying it out if you got the chance to come to milano .

The famous zighiní is highly recommended; I had a mild version (something like boulange, I honestly forgot the name). Everything was delicious, though: very simple cuisine, very spicy, and really good meat. The atmosphere is very nice, suitable for us Europeans with often high (and legitimate) expectations. Everything is clean, the bathrooms are clean, and the staff is really friendly. You don't even have to spend much for a large dish (there's a lot of it).

We went for lunch without a reservation. They seated us right away and were always very kind and helpful. We had two zighiní (one vegetarian). I definitely recommend them! They were delicious and very filling. Highly recommended!

24/09/2025: Perfect place, you're immediately greeted by the unmistakable smell of incense and home cooking. A restaurant run by a mother and son. The mother in the dining room takes truly great care of the customers, serving us immediately and making us feel at ease. The son, even when we booked, gave the impression of being a truly kind and thoughtful man, which he proved to be during a chat after dinner. Delicious food and generous portions. I recommend coming very hungry. My girlfriend and I will definitely be back. Be patient when looking for parking, but it's worth it. Thanks again, Balafon ❤️

02/12/2025: Nice cosy atmosphere, quite slow moving service but effective, food is almost fully authentic but prices are far too high for these. We are in Milano but it’s not an excuse for high prices.
