My friend and I discovered Acquacotta by chance, while looking for a place to grab a light bite after a show at Teatro della Pergola. What a pleasant surprise! We had the ribollita, a hearty and delicious Tuscan soup. That, and a glass of wine was the perfect way to warm up on a November night. The restaurant was cute, an inviting atmosphere. The staff was very friendly, answering our questions about the menu and letting us linger over our food. We will be back!

We went there for dinner on October 16th, but we've been there a few times before, and it's always a sure thing.

I took the lamb plate with rosemary it has a very earthy and aromatic deep taste, i didn't like it that much. It came with a roasted potatoes side dish included in the price. I took a dessert called " Bavarese con lingue di gatto alla fragola" which was nice but mildly sweet.

I had already been there for dinner on a previous visit to Florence. I was delighted to return and once again found a family atmosphere and excellent food in a warm setting, far removed from the tourist format.

Food was pretty good and the wait staff were friendly. This place is a little out of the way from the downtown area. We were charged €6 per person (party of 6) for oil and balsamic vinegar which we are used to being complementary in America. The cashier ended up charging us only €6 total after we mentioned some of us didn’t even have any. This was a nice gesture since we were surprised at the bill being 36 euro higher than expected.
