I hesitated to write a review for this restaurant.
The reason is that I firmly believe that it is a place loved by the locals.
If the kind service and excellent quality of food we experienced here were to spread, tourists would flock here like a rugby scrum.
And that could deprive the locals of a precious corner of tranquility, which makes me hesitate.
However, I cannot suppress the desire to express my gratitude to the owners and so I leave this review.
As for the rating of the place, as many say, if I could give 10 stars, I would.
If I were a Michelin inspector, I would give three stars without hesitation.
My experience here was so amazing.
The quality of the ingredients and the preparation of each dish are impeccable.
The salad is surprisingly fresh, so much so that it even seems to have beneficial properties for digestion.
At first bite, my gut flora began to clamor for more, triggering an incredible craving.
The zuppa toscana is sublime.
I know it may seem strange, but the moment I tasted the zuppa, I was reminded of the days when I would come home from college and my mother would lovingly prepare my favorite dishes.
It was as if I was enjoying a dish that had always been dear to me, cooked with love, as if I were a son welcomed back home.
The steak is the best in the world.
I have been fortunate enough to taste various types of high-quality meat, including the best Japanese wagyu, but there is no doubt: the steak at this restaurant is unmatched.
The cooking is exactly how I had always dreamed it would be, and the seasoning, while simple, is the pure essence of umami.
During our stay in Florence, we dined here two out of three times.
Last time we went to Zaza, which should give you an idea of how fascinated we were by this place.
I had always proudly believed that Tokyo was the world capital of gastronomy, but now, after tasting the dishes of this restaurant, I fear that I am condemned to wander around Japan like a Tuscan zombie, desperately searching for these flavors.
I don't know when, but I sincerely hope that this place will continue to be the same, in the same place, with the same incredible quality.
I wish the owners a long and healthy life, although, considering how healthy their cuisine is, they probably won't need such a wish.

Did not have a reservation but they fit our group of 4 in straight away. From our seats we could see into the kitchen and the entire family preparing every dish. Everything we had was excellent and Got a small history of the place and the family and we would definately return. Worth the short walk from the tourist city center!

This is our go to restaurant in Florence and has been since we first ate here ten years ago. Most things change and usually for the worse, this is the exception. The quality of the food and the lovely service has remained exceptional and the price very reasonable. Brilliant.

I was looking for a local restaurant where I could eat Tuscan food and ended up here.
It cost about 70 euros for three side dishes, pasta, dessert, and a drink.
Since the signal was bad and I couldn't translate, I asked him for some Tuscan food recommendations and ordered that.
The seafood and tomato pasta was especially delicious. The noodles are chewy.
Although I can't speak English very well, let alone Italian, I was treated warmly.
Also, the emerald blue cup was really nice.
It was a good memory of Florence.

We went to Acquacotta with six adults and a one-year-old child, and we can only recommend this restaurant to those traveling with small children: hospitality and availability at the highest levels! The place is authentic, frequented by many local customers, and there is a truly family atmosphere. The lunch menu at 15 euros is a pleasant surprise: traditional Tuscan dishes, simple but full of flavour, cooked by real chefs, visible from the room, which convey passion and substance. A special thanks to the owner, of rare kindness: he also helped us with the child's dishes and made a perfect lunch possible for him too. Thank you so much: we felt at home. We will definitely be back!

Un miembro del personal del hotel Ruby me recomendó este lugar porque quería un filete florentino. Ella escribió el nombre y la dirección para mí y se lo di a mi taxista. Me dijeron en el restaurante que un filete florentino era realmente para 2 como su 1 kg de carne! Así que tomé el solomillo y mi esposa el ragu de fetichina. Ese filete fue posiblemente el mejor trozo de filete que he comido. Fue increíble. Mi esposa probó algunos y lo disfrutó tanto que sugirió que volviéramos la noche siguiente para compartir el filete florentino! Estaba listo para esto solo para encontrar el restaurante está cerrado los lunes. ¡Destripado!
