Step through the front door and find yourself in a charming 18th-century building, frescoed throughout. After climbing the wide staircase, you arrive at the restaurant: several small rooms create a more intimate and cozy atmosphere. The service is informal and attentive, ready to provide information about the menu and the history of the building.
The menu isn't extensive but is very interesting, ranging from traditional Monferrato dishes to more contemporary flavors and combinations. The entrées are delightful and tasty, including the amazing Accademia cream. Among the dishes we ordered, the veal with tuna sauce was excellent, with a savory and flavorful tuna sauce and the meat perfectly pink. The tempura egg was surprising, with a successful balance of sweetness, savory, umami, and a smoky note. The spaghetti and pigeon, with scallops and truffle pearls, were also wonderful.
The David was playful and satisfying, as was their sorbet.
Extensive wine list, with a strong focus on local produce, and an excellent selection of champagnes from lesser-known but highly regarded winemakers.
Great attention to dietary requirements: gluten-free dishes are already on the menu, and alternatives (in our case, pasta) are available.

A wonderful experience at the Accademia, in the heart of Casale Monferrato, housed in the magnificent Palazzo Gozzani Treville: this alone would make the visit worthwhile.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell they care. The owner is a genuine presence: he conveys passion and expertise naturally. The dining rooms are all meticulously designed, elegant but not overly so.
The cuisine is excellent, from Piedmontese classics to more sophisticated dishes. Adequate portions, well-balanced flavors, and a focus on quality.
The wine list isn't extensive, but the few available are carefully chosen. Better a few good ones than pages and pages of meaningless fare.
The price was in line with the experience: fair, no surprises.
The only downside, which left me a bit perplexed, was the risotto is only for a minimum of two people... I understand the logic, but from a place like this, I expected a little more flexibility. A detail that doesn't ruin a truly high-quality experience.

EXCEPTIONAL restaurant.
We stumbled upon it almost by accident during lunchtime, after doing a cursory Google search.
Struck by the images of the location (the restaurant is located in a period building with very evocative interiors and rooms), after some difficulty locating it (there's no sign other than a plaque on the door), we found ourselves in one of the best restaurants we've ever experienced.
We tried three dishes from the menu: seared scallop on onion soup, glazed foie gras, and crab gnocchi: all absolutely sublime. Creative, top-quality cuisine, excellent value.
The staff was very professional, courteous, and attentive to every need.

Obviously the building and the location is a significant part of the experience. But those people know how to cook too. The menu degustazione shows how delicate a well prepared vitello tomato can be, and how incredibly delicate agnolotti can become. We were a bit less impressed with the guancia di agnello, a bit fatty, even for a cheek. The Bonet is an acquired taste, but it's always fascinating to sample local dishes.
Would recommend the experience no matter what.

Riconfermo sempre! Il luogo mi incanta ogni volta. Il personale è molto cortese e attento. I piatti buonissimi. Il benvenuto con piccoli deliziosi finger food in attesa delle portate scelte già fa pregustare ciò che si aspetta. Buonissima sempre la guancia cotta perfettamente. Ho apprezzato molto il coniglio e ho amato l’uovo (che prendo sempre) questa volta in una versione anche rivisitata e molto buona. Come sempre Consigliatissimo

In un palazzo settecentesco, ristorante disposto su alcune sale con pochi tavoli, ben distanziati. Cucina del territorio, rivisitata in maniera creativa. Obiettivo riuscito. Servizio eccellente. Strepitosa carta dei vini.
Un’esperienza da non perdere.
