A Taverna intru u vicu Restaurant In Belmonte calabro

On our way back from Paola, we decided to try this restaurant in the ancient village of Belmonte. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We took the chef up on a suggestion, and he prepared an excellent pacchero with amberjack. The price was perhaps a little steep...but you pay for quality food.

I dined at Taverna Intru u Vicu with a group of friends. Let me start by saying that the location is stunning: both the terrace and the alleyway will surely provide guests with an unforgettable experience. The service was kind and friendly, without being intrusive, and the owner and waiter made us feel at home. The house wine, served during dinner, was also excellent. As for the menu, the owner's innovation was much appreciated. No dish was banal, and the flavors were well-balanced. The tuna on tomato steak and the pickled tuna (€16-18) are definitely worth trying as appetizers. I personally ordered the mixed fried fish (€22), which was good, fresh, and crispy, but perhaps a bit small for a main course. In conclusion, absolutely recommended for those looking for an unconventional dinner in an excellent location. For eight of us, with four appetizers, eight courses, wine, drinks, and two shared desserts, we spent about €50 each.

A charming place. The owner, Francesco, was very helpful, polite, and above all kind...we spent a wonderful week surrounded by mountains and sea.

A charming place to eat, in an almost fairytale-like atmosphere suspended in time... thanks to the unique traditional dishes, tastefully prepared by chef-owner Francesco Antonio, and the warm welcome he and his staff have to offer! Special mention goes to the tuna steak with Belmonte tomatoes and sweet and sour onions, as well as the spectacular tagliatelle alla 'nduja. The owner/chef's kind heart and generosity are not to be overlooked! Highly recommended!

Hello, my husband and I stayed from 18th to 20th July to celebrate our anniversary. I recommend it to everyone, from the overnight stay to the cuisine of the adjacent restaurant. Try it and believe it. Bye.

This place is a fairy tale! We stayed overnight, the room is fresh, spacious and clean, very comfortable mattress and orthopedic pillow, fresh bed linen, a stunning view from the small window! The room has air conditioning, a small refrigerator and a kettle (but no glasses or mugs). In the morning, a hearty and delicious breakfast awaited us on a beautiful terrace. The place is incredible! My recommendation!

The owner is a sweet and kind-hearted person, and the town has the charm of an Italy that we have almost lost.
