Typical old style Veronese tavern. Spartan furnishings (even too much so), decent food, good tripe and gnocchi with pastizada, braised cheek in my opinion too spicy/bitter. Courteous service. Bill I expected to pay less.

Even though we didn't have a reservation, we came exactly at noon, for the opening, and they seated us at a cozy little table for two. A very professional approach and I was delighted with the Amarone risotto.

I went to this tavern/restaurant with a friend encouraged by the good reviews. We shared a platter of cold cuts and cheeses and had a first course each (bigoli with duck and tastasal and Monte Veronese macaroni). I must say everything is very good, slow but attentive service, however I cannot give 5 stars because, in my humble opinion, the prices are too high when compared to the location and above all the quantity of food offered. The location is home-made, you eat on old wooden tables with placemats and you share benches with other people, which gives a very good impression of the atmosphere of an old-time tavern provided, however, that the price is reasonable and not restaurant. The platter cost 23 euros which is a disgrace, as it is really small and has very little variety of cured meats and cheeses which do not justify the price offered. I often travel around the center and have tried most of the trattorias but here I found the price particularly high for this type of dish and, I repeat, for the quantity of food offered. Very good first courses, with portions I would say fair and average prices (always quite high for a tavern, €15/16 per dish). Total for a starter, two first courses, water and a glass of wine 70 euros. I recommend it for a quiet lunch break and to breathe an atmosphere of times gone by if you are willing to spend a little more than you might expect for a "simple" tavern

Characteristic place...excellent food....and good wine...highly recommended

Here you can breathe the air of an authentic tavern. Time seems to have remained frozen in the past. The food is very good, some courses are entirely artisanal and the doses are generous. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home.

Very good, prices in the city average. However, the bathroom has a squat toilet, a very negative side for a "nice" restaurant

The very kind waitress made us sit at peak time even though we hadn't booked. We had an appetizer and two typical Veronese dishes: bigoli with donkey ragù and maccheroncini with tastasal and monte veronese: two exquisite dishes with generous portions! The owners were very kind and friendly. The only negative note is that the prices are slightly high (€16 per dish) but it's still worth it!

Place with a special atmosphere, excellent and plentiful food... very friendly, attentive and friendly service! We will see each other soon!!!!

Luogo piccolo e raccolto, una vera osteria! Perfetta accoglienza e dialogo con il cliente e ottimo cibo. Un buon pranzo!

L’accueil est très sympathique, le service est rapide, les places sont bon, mais un peu cher, en particulier, la tomate mozzarella à 13,5 euros.
